Product Review: Garnier Fructics Sleek and Shine 3 minute Masque
image via google.com
Hey loves, I have a feeling I am reviewing more hair products than cosmetics...but one more hair product review wont hurt right? hahaha. I feel hair is just as important as cosmetics because hair is what completes the look for me. I know that all of you lovlies out there want healthy and beautiful hair just as much as you all want great makeup! Why not have the best of both worlds?
I normally dont get Garnier Fructics products because I have tried their Fructics line of shampoo and conditioners and it just wasn't doing it for me. The shampoo and Conditioner really weighed my hair down and gave me flakes, and made my hair really oily...but thats another case. Even though their shampoo and conditioners smell amazingly great, I came to a conclusion that their hair products just were not going to work for me. Until, I was at my boyfriend's house and I happen to spot a little green tub with an orange screw on cap. This peeked my intrest. It read, "Garnier Fructics: Fortifying Deep Conditioner Sleek and Shine 3 minute masque for dry, frizzy, or unmanageable hair". I read these 3 things and I was in utter amazement, my hair is all those three things, dry, frizzy, and most definetley unmanageable! The product claims that, "nutritive fruit micro-oils to help tame frizz and flyaways. it nourishes straight or curly hair making it smooth and super shiny. It improves texture and manageability for all hair types, without weighing it down." A lot of claims for this stuff huh? I opened the little green tub and it smelled divine, just as I knew it would. I asked my boyfriend if I can take the product to test it out and sure enough he didnt care and let me have the darn thing. Then Today for the first time I had a chance to see what this baby was all about, and weather or not it would dissapoint me just like the Garnier shampoo and conditioner did.
I hopped into the shower, shampooed and conditioned with my fabulous head and shoulders smooth and silky shampoo and conditioner. After I rinsed out my conditioner, I made sure to squeeze out most of the water in my hair, as I have learned that products penetrate into the hair when hair is not dripping wet. I applied the 3 minute masque allover my hair and combed my hair with a wide tooth comb to make sure the product was evenley distributed on my hair. I made sure to havily coat my ends as they are the most driest part of the hair. I left the masque on for about 5 minutes (Hey, I have unmanageable hair that needs all the conditioning it can get, I dont think 3 minutes will cut it for me). After 5 minutes, I rinsed my hair out and I was amazed at how soft my hair felt. It was a wonderful feeling. I let my hair air dry a bit and then started to blow dry my hair straight and when I was finished blow drying, my hair felt really smooth and I can honestly say that my frizzies were greatly reduced! My hair feels soft, it smells great, and my hair does not feel oily or weighed down at all.
I believe that all the claims this product stated are most definetley true and on point. This product did what it claimed to do and its very rare to find hair or beauty products that deliver what they promise. Go grab yourself some of this ladies, it's a steal at just under $8.00 at drugstores and you get a lot of product for your buck-.5 ounces.

Product Review: Head and Shoulders-Smooth & Silky Shampoo and Conditioner
image via google.com
Hey Loves, I want to let you all in on my new favorite Shampoo and Conditioner...its Head and Shoulders Smooth & Silky line. Let me fill you all in on my hair history. I have the most frizziest, unruly, dry curly hair you can ever imagine. I blow dry and straighten my hair once a week, and after I blow out my hair straight I follow by flat-ironing my hair. I feel that in order for me to have really nice frizz-free hair after I blow dry and flat iron it all depends on the shampoo and the conditioner I use. Sometimes I use certain shampoos and conditioners that leave my hair dull, oily and dry after I blow dry and flat iron...thats a no no!
I am constantly searching for shampoos and conditioners that will do it all for my hair-leave my hair silky, shiny, moisturized, and most importantly keep my hair and scalp healthy.
Smooth & Silky Shampoo:
This shampoo smells really great. The bottle claims to "restore a silky smooth look to dry frizzy hair". This shampoo is not only a dandruff shampoo, but it also helps moisturize the hair and fight frizz as well. This shampoo contains a gentle Ph balance that makes the shampoo safe and gentle to use everyday on permed and even color treated hair. I applied a generous amount of shampoo on my wet hair and my hair and scalp immediatley felt cool, refreshed and clean as I massaged my scalp. I loved the feeling! I shampooed twice and my hair really smelled good. I also noticed that my hair didn't really have that dry after shampoo feeling that I usually get with other shampoos.
Smooth & Silky Conditioner:
I am in love with the conditioner! The product claims to "improve scalp health and smoothes dry frizzy hair". I totally agree! After I shampooed, I poured a generous amount of conditioner into my palm and I worked it in all throughout my hair, and I combed my hair, and wow...no tangles! I combed my hair with very little trouble. Sometimes when I comb out my hair to evenly distribute the conditioner into my hair, my hair gets so tangled up and its really a pain to remove the tangles, but the conditioner really did the job. I am impressed. Although, I am not very fond of the smell the conditioner has ( I can't really describe the smell-its not over powering) I dont know if the reason I don't like the conditioner smell is because I am used to fruity conditioner smells, but it doesn't really bother me much because the smell completley turns into a pleasant scent after I rinse the product off.
Final/Overall Thoughts:
After I washed my hair, I blew it out and flat ironed it. My hair came out shiny and it looked really healthy. My hair was fierce! hahaha. Also, my frizzies were definetley tamed than usual and my hair felt really moisturized. I believe this shampoo and conditioner combo worked great for my hair type and I am really happy with my results. I will definetley keep on using this shampoo and conditioner as long as it keeps doing the job-or until I find something better. Although I dont know how it would work for those who have oily hair, I definetley recommend this shampoo and conditioner for people who have frizzy, and dry hair that craves moisture and shine.
I hope this review was helpful for you all. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to leave it in the comments section below.
Happy hair washing, Alina

Product Review- Curly Hair Love: mark. Curl Goddess gel and curling mist review
Hey Loves,
I hope you all are having a great week so far. I am sorry I have been missing for a few days, just had some stuff to take care of...But I am back and I want to let you all know about my 2 new favorite hair products for curly hair.
I have frizzy, unruly crazy curly hair and everytime I try to style my curly hair with a curling gel or mousse, my hair always ends up hard and weighed down because of the haviness of the hair products. Well, I was introduced to 2 items from the Curl Goddess line. These 2 products are available at mark.com for $5.00 each! What a steal! You can also get them from an avon representative. Since my sister is an Avon representative, I purchased these 2 hair products from her. I got the Curl and Wave defining gel, and the curling mist. I am in love!!!! Both of these hair products contain sunflower that is used to help condition the hair. Thats a plus, since my hair needs all the moisture and conditioning it can get!
Curl and Wave Defining Gel:
Curling Mist:
I apply the curl and wave defining gel thouroughly on my damp curly hair and then I set everything with the curling mist...and I must say, WOW! My hair feels so soft as the day goes by and my hair starts to air dry a bit, and there are no tangles or weighing down of hair at all. This product does a good job at holding my curls in place while allowing my curls to look more defined and soft at the same time. The smell is to die for-the smell is sort of like a fresh clean hair smell...I hope that made sense hahaha. The smell of the gel is kind of overwhelming at first, but when its on the hair, it smells divine.
I definetley recommend this product for those of you who have frizzy unruly curly hair...have any of you lovley readers tried the curling gel and mist? If you have, please let me know in the comments and let me know what you think!
Have a good one lovlies, Love you all

Product Rave: Cover Girl Lash Blast
immage via google.com
Hey loves, I hope you all had a great Monday! My Monday was ok. I went to school and after school I went to hang out with my boyfriend for a bit. The only bad part about today was that it was raining all day here in NYC...I hate rainy gloomy days:( but its nothing a little makeup talk cant fix! hahaha.
I wanted to tell you all about a beauty product I am absolutley in love with, and I cant get enough of...I am talking about none other than my favorite mascara in the whole world-Cover Girl Lash Blast! I have been using Cover Girl Lash Blast for a few months now and I really love it. It does it all for me-it lengthens my lashes, it volumizes them and best of all, I get no clumping whatsoever! Thats amazing to me because all these other mascaras that I have used would always clump on me no matter how I applied it. I also love that this mascara is readily available in any drugstore for under $10.00-talk about a bargain loves! Some may not like the big gigantic brush the wand has but I love it and it does not bother me. The brush still lets me apply my mascara easily, and efficiently (eventhough I am careful that I dont poke my eye out-because the brush wand is pretty big, so please be careful you all dont poke your pretty eyes). Try this mascara out loves, and if you try it I hope you all come to love it as much as I do.
P.S. I got a free mini tube of Benefit cosmetics's Bad Gal Lash-I have not tried it out yet...but I will soon and I will do a review on it. Lets see if Bad Gal will stray me away from Lash Blast. Stay tuned loves!
Love you all, Alina

Product Review: MAC Fix + Rose
Hey Loves, Here is the long-awaited-most fascinating review ever!!! (ok, I kinda over reacted there hahaha. I want to let everybody know that this review comes from the heart and it is from my personal experience.
Product Description:
"A soothing moisture Mist that refreshes the skin and finishes makeup."
Instructions:
"Hold bottle 12" away from face and spray evenley. Use before or after makeup."
My Views/Feelings:
I have always wanted to try the original MAC Fix + because I have always heard great things about it. I loved the fact that it has been considered by others a multi-use product-great for applying pigments, great for applying mineral makeup, and great for making the face seem more dewy and take away the cakey powdery look that foundations and other makeup leave behind. So when I heard MAC was coming out with Fix + Rose, I decided to purchase it because I have read great things about it and I was ready to enter the Fix + world-with a hint of rose scent. I know the original does not have a scent, but I felt that a rose scented Fix + would be a treat for me...and I thought what better time to test drive Fix + than now!
I am an avid mineral makeup foundation kinda girl. I always use Bare Minerals foundation because, I dont really like the feeling of a lot of product on my face. Especially now, that the weather is getting warmer I want to use minimal makeup as much as I can. I must admit that sometimes I over-apply the mineral foundation, which occasionally leaves my face looking a bit cakey-especially on my forehead and chin area. I decided to put Fix + Rose to the test and see if the cakiness on my face would vanish and have my face looking like a dewey godess.
Application Technique:
1. I started off by taking my Bare Escentuals Handi Buki brush (I use this brush to apply my Bare Minerals foundation) and spritzing the brush with Fix + Rose only once while holding the Fix + rose a few inches away from the brush.
2. I poured some fouondation on the lid and took my brush and swirled it in the lid to pick up some foundation. Then I applied foundation to my face and I was utterly amazed...my face looked really dewey, my skin looked healthy, and my face just glowed. This was amazing...I couldnt believe it.
3. After I applied the foundation all over my face, I spritzed my face with Fix + Rose just once while holding the bottle a few inches away from my face (if you do this gals, close your eye mmkay?) I wanted to finish off the look with a final spritz. I do agree that this product feels hydrating to the skin, like it drinks it up, and my skin feels really cool and refreshed when I spray this on my face.
Final Thoughts:
While this does give my face a nice dewy glow to it, and it has not broken me out at all while I have been using it (I have been using Fix + for about 1 week) I actually think this is making my face a little more oilier than usual. I dont know if this is happening because my face is already oily to begin with, but when I wear mineral makeup alone without using Fix+ Rose, my makeup is usually in tact and I get a little oily not really oily like I do when I apply my foundation with Fix+ Rose. I feel like my mineral makeup slides off my face after a mere 2 or 3 hours. But it is nothing im sure good old translucent setting powder cant fix. I really enjoy the scent as well, it does smell like roses-the smell sort of relaxes me a bit, and the scent is not overpowering which is a plus. Overall, I will keep using this but only for my pigments and just to spritz my face after I apply my foundation. And I did test it out on my pigments and it works really great for that. When I run out of this I probably will purchase the original Fix +, but only for applying my pigments. I dont like this on my face too much...maybe I will just not use this while applying my foundation and I should just use it at the end when I finish applying my makeup to set everything and refresh/hydrate my skin a bit.
Pros:
1. Nice Scent
2. Great Multi-Tasker (great for refreshing face, applying pigments)
3. Makes skin feel refreshed and hydrated
4. Takes the powdery and cakey look off the face
Cons:
1. Makes my face a bit more oilier
2. Its limited edition
Product Rating:(out of 10)
-7
I hope this review was helpful. If any of you have questions or comments please leave them below in the comments section and I will get right back at ya *_*
A Rose for you all, Alina
