Look Of The Day: Smokey Green and Bronze Lip

Hey Dolls!

Here is a look of the day that I came up with tonight. I wanted to create a smokey green look. For this look I used Humid eyeshadow by MAC (FYI-My first MAC eyeshadow ever!...I know shock lol). I love it! This eyeshadow is so soft, and super easy to blend. I can't wait to try other MAC eyeshadows.

I paired the look with a bronze gloss called Pinkular-a lipglass, also by MAC from the magic, mirth, and mischief 5 Models Misbehaving lipglass set. I love how this look turned out, and you all can be sure that I will wear this for a night out.

Here are pictures of the look and other products used listed below. I hope you all enjoy and thank you for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day: Zoya "Indigo"

Hey dolls!

Here is the current nail polish that I am sporting on my nails. It is Indigo by Zoya. Indigo is a beautiful Deep Navy Blue with tons of small and very fine red, green, and gold glitters. I love how the polish looks on my nails-rich, deep beautiful navy. The thing that really bummed me out though was the fact that the glitters are hardly noticeable on the nail :( You can see the small glitters, but you need to hit a certain light angle to do so, or look really, really close.

Overall, I do love the color and again as with all the Zoya polishes I have used, it applies like a dream. Great, even and opaque look with only 2 coats. I topped it off with a clear top coat.

Another thing I want to mention with this polish is that it is best to apply thick coats as opposed to light coats. I find this way the polish avoids getting streaky, and you get the opaque look much quicker with very little effort. And the drying time was super quick too...love it!

Here are some pics. I tried to capture the glitters as best I could. Thanks for stopping by! (click pics to enlarge)

Have any of you tried Indigo? Let me know how it worked for you in the comments section :)

Disclosure: I purchased this polish with my money.

Mini Haul! MAC, NYX, Color Club

Hey Dolls! I hope you are all doing great. Can you believe that we are already coming to an end of 2009? I sure hope that 2010 is a good year for everybody...I can honestly say that 2009 has not been the best year for me, but I am hopeful that 2010 will be an even better year. Here is a mini haul to show you gals and guys.

I went to MAC and I got 2 items from the Warm and Cozy Collection. I got 2N lipglass (Love!-might go back and get a back up), and Feelin' Good Tinted Lip Conditioner. I love Tinted Lip conditioners, because they are so moisturizing and best of all they have SPF 15. Along with that I also purchased Humid eyeshadow, which is a beautiful frosty deep green (Finally, after wanting it for so long) and Pink Nouveau Lipstick ( I have been on a pink-lip kick lately).

I also went to a local beauty supply store and purchased 2 NYX eyeshadows in Black and White. I love them both! They are so pigmented and I love that they are matte. I also spotted this section that had adorable Color Club minis on sale for only $1.99! I had to get in on it, but the only shade that really stood out for me was Too Violet. It is a beautiful purple polish with chunks of blue, green, gold, and red glitters. So much fun in a bottle! I can't wait to swatch it for you all. (click picture for larger image)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Christmas Gifts!

Hey everyone! My, how Christmas flew...I hope it was a great one for all of you:) I enjoyed Christmas very much this year, and I couldn't have asked for a better one. It's times like these that make you realize just how much a person truly cares about you, even when you never thought they did. I am not talking about they care because they got me gifts...it's the simple fact that they actually had me in mind and really thought out my gifts based on who I am, and what my personality reflects.

I wanted to show you all my beautiful Christmas Gifts (all the makeup related ones). I love them all and can't wait to use them for looks of the day :) I love my family and friends...THANK YOU! (CLICK IMAGES FOR LARGER VIEW)

At Home SPA Treatments!

Hey Dolls!

Happy Saturday! I hope you all get the chance to relax and enjoy the weekend up ahead...we all need a little relaxation these days. I wish I could afford a SPA treatment everyday, that would be the best. But reccessionistas must find ways to keep cool and relaxed right at home, without spending a fortune.

A great way to find relaxation is by taking a day all to yourself and pampering yourself. A nice relaxing bubble bath can ease any stress you are going through. Aromatherapy is also nice, as it soothes one's mind and spirit (or so I like to think).

Here is a list of bath and body items that I have on my list of future purchases:

Melt your stress away with this bath soak that is used to help cleanse and detoxify your skin. According to The Body Shop website this bath soak also contains:

1. Epsom Salt that is used to help one relax
2. Kayolin Clay which is used to draw out impurities and leaves skin feeling clean, hydrated and tight.
3. Organic Babassu Oil is used to keep skin moisturized
4. Stoneroot Extract is used to keep skin nourished

LUSH Therapy Massage Bar ($8.75)

Boy, do I hear raves about this massage bar. This bar is organic, contains shea and cocoa butter which are amazing moisturizers. It also contains lavender and and sweet orange oils that are used to help one relax. Just massage this bar on those sore spots and let it take you away.

Korres Jasmine Body Butter ($29.00)

What better way to lock in your body's moisture than with a moiturizing body butter. Korres Jasmine Body Butter is all natural, and contains shea butter to moisturize and even sunflower almond and avocado oils to help restore skin's elasticity and to keep skin smooth.

What are your favorite bath and body treatments that you all use to relax? Let me know in the comments section!

Nail Of The Day: Zoya 'Trixie' With Special Holiday Konad Image!

Hey Dolls!

Here is yet again another nail of the day. I have on my nails Zoya's Trixie nail polish which is a beautiful metallic, shimmery silver color. I have never tried a silver on my nails before and I am impressed with this one. Application was no trouble at all, no air bubbles, streaks-nada!

To spruce it up a bit and really get into the holiday spirit, I decided to add a cute snowflake image from Konad Plate m59.

I hope you all enjoy, and thanks for stopping by! (click images for a larger view)

Product Rave: Avon Skin So Soft Whipped Body Oil Has Me Smooth As Butter This Winter

Hey loves! TGIF...weekend is almost here and I am ready to partyyyy.

The other day when I was looking through my drawer of "why don't I use this stuff anymore" I happened to be yet again encountered by my pretty much full bottle of Avon Skin So Soft Whipped Body Oil ($7.00)-the soft and sensual one. This lotion contains Shea Butter and Vitamins that are used to moisturize the skin and claims to leave the skin "radiant and velvety soft"...This is so true! No lie, this product does just that.

Avon Skin So Soft Soft And Sensual Whipped Body Oil (Original)

I put some of this whipped body oil on my arms, and legs and I was surprised that this lotion dried down pretty fast and I did not have that sticky, after lotion feel. My skin was so smooth and it even had a nice and healthy looking radiant glow to it. Ever since then I have been using this as my everyday lotion after I jump out of the shower. I love the smell too, I can't really describe it but it is a fresh, clean smell that is easy on those with sensitive noses. The smell does not linger too much. I can smell little, tiny hints of it on my arms as the day goes by.

Overall, I love this stuff! And when I looked at the Avon website it seems like they completely changed their packaging of their skin so soft line. I was looking for this particular product and I could not find it! I don't want to think that they discontinued this awesome body oil. So, I found a product that could be similar to this one,
Avon Skin So Soft Soft and Sensual Gelled Body Oil ($7.00). I have not tried that one, but I am pretty sure that it is the same one, just with a different packaging and a "new and improved formula". Have any of you tried this stuff? Tell me that you love it as much as I do in the comments section!
