Products I Have Been Loving│Vol. 12

Hello, lovelies! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your Tuesday. I am kick starting this morning with a "products I have been loving" post! I have lots of exciting products to share with you all, so I am going to keep this intro short and just get right into it!

Face

MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Superb: I am a huge fan of  MAC's skinfinishes. They are fantastic highlighters, and their smooth textures make them a dream to apply. Superb is part of MAC's magnetic nude collection which came out last month, and when I first laid eyes on it, I just knew I had to have it. Superb imparts the most gorgeous sheen on the skin without looking overwhelming. Since Superb is on the warmer end of the spectrum when it comes to highlighters, I think it's going to look extra amazing in the summertime when my skin obtains some warmth to it.

MAC Strobe Cream: I love a glowing and radiant complexion, and MAC's Strobe Cream helps me achieve just that. I mix a bit of the strobe cream in with my foundation for a skin glowing boost that looks healthy and natural. I will have a proper review up shortly on this, so stay tuned.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Sticks: I don't use these sticks for foundation purposes-I actually use them for contouring! A quick swipe of these on the hollows of my cheeks and temples, and I instantly have a more structured and defined look. The Maybelline foundation sticks are really creamy, super easy to blend, and long lasting. I absolutely love them. I alternate between two shades-#330 (great for when I want a subdued contour) and #340 (I use this one when I want a more dramatic and apparent contour effect).

Eyes

Anastasia Want You To Want Me Eyeshadow Palette: This nifty little eyeshadow palette was part of one of Anastasia's holiday kits from 2012. It's one of my most loved eyeshadow palettes. I reach for it regularly. The colors are nicely pigmented, and you can create a nice array of looks with the shadows. This is also one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes to travel with. It's perfect in size, and it's super lightweight.

Chella Highlighter Pencil: I received this highlighting pencil in my November Birchbox, and it has since become an essential item in my makeup routine. This creamy pencil comes in handy for a multitude of uses. I like to use Chella's highlighter pencil on my waterline to brighten up my eyes, and I also like to use it to lift and clean up my brow area. I outline my brows with the pencil, and blend it out with a small concealer brush. This technique really makes a difference in the look of my brows. I have the shade Ivory Lace which compliments my light skin tone nicely. There is also another shade available-Latte, which works great for medium skin tones.

Sumita Color Contrast Eyeliner: I received this Sumita eyeliner in my May Birchbox and I am so glad I did because this eyeliner is one of the most richest black pencil eyeliners I own. I love using this pencil on the waterline because it's very creamy, and it stays put for hours without smudging.

Lips

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Pout: I recently have been loving cool toned, pink lipsticks. Pout is a color I reach for often when I want a pastel, pink color pop on my lips. This color pairs up nicely with neutral and smokey eyes, and it really stands out.

MAC Close Contact Lipstick: Nude lipsticks are one of my obsessions. I probably have more than I should, but there is just something about a nude lipstick that I find hard to resist. One of my latest nude lip color acquisitions is MAC's Close Contact lipstick, which is part of their magnetic nude collection. Close Contact is what I would refer to as my ideal nude lipstick. The creamy peach hue is easy to wear, and it feels comfortable on the lips thanks to it's creamy texture.

Skincare

Malin + Goetz Mojito Lip Balm: This lip balm was part of my January Ipsy bag, and it's seriously all kinds of amazing. Malin + Goetz Mojito Lip Balm easily beats out all of the other lip balms I have tried. Ever since using this lip balm, my lips have never looked or felt better. They not only feel softer, they look so much healthier too. This is why I love beauty subscription services. You can really discover some amazing gems that you probably wouldn't have tried/known about otherwise

Julep Cuticle Oil: The cold winter weather never plays nice with my cuticles, but Julep's Cuticle Oil has got me covered. I apply the oil to my cuticle area once a day, and I love the results I am seeing with prolonged use. My cuticles are softer, and they look so much healthier.

BeeKind Body Lotion: A couple of weeks ago I developed some dry patches on my back. I found it kind of odd really, just because my back is an area that doesn't usually get dry. I applied some of the BeeKind Body Lotion to the dry areas, and it definitely soothed and softened up my skin.

  1. I totally need to check out those mac skin finishes, they seem like a dream in terms of finish on the skin. And those fit me sticks, they aren't found in singapore yet but we have something similar from maybelline, it's like solid bb cream in a stick that's only in 2 shades! Very sad!

  4. I received the Chella pencil in one of my Ipsy bags. I loved it. However, I can't find a sharpener big enough for it to fit in. Have you got a suggestion for me? By the way, I love reading your blog. Thanks.

    1. I use Wet n' Wild's Dual Pencil Sharpener which works great for sharpening thin and thicker pencils. You can find the sharpener in drugstores and it's a super duper bargain. Thanks for stopping by, and I am so very happy to hear that you enjoy my blog! :)
