RiRi ♥ MAC Fall│Haul

The RiRi ♥ MAC Fall collection is probably one of my favorite MAC launches to date. I was happy to get my hands on a couple of items, being that some quickly sold out. I have been reading a lot of mixed feelings when it comes to the packaging on these. But I for one really like it. It's girly, shiny, and the rose gold is very fitting for this collection, I think.

Check out what I hauled!

RiRi ♥ MAC Fall

Bad Girl Gone Good Powder Blush

Bad Girl Gone Good Powder Blush ($23): The warm copper tones in this blush are so perfect for the fall/winter months. Bad Girl Gone Good instantly warms up the face, all while imparting the loveliest pop of color on the cheeks. This blush does contain tiny microshimmers, but they are not overbearing or super apparent. The shimmers actually add a very pretty glow to the cheeks. The texture of the blush is absolutely amazing. It's ridiculously smooth, and real easy to blend. The color payoff on this is intense; so a bit of product goes a long way.

Hibiscus Kiss Powder Blush

Hibiscus Kiss Powder Blush ($29): I missed out on this when it made it's first appearance back in June, so I am glad I managed to get my hands on it this time around. The mirrored compact houses a cool matte bronzer-which takes up more than half of the pan, and a coral pink blush that contains a faint golden sheen. I was quite surprised by the bronzer. Since it's on the lighter side, I thought that it would need a lot of building up for sure. But it actually doesn't take much at all to achieve optimal color payoff. The coral pink blush compliments the bronzer nicely. It does need some building up, though, since the texture is a tad drier and stiff.

RiRi Woo Lipglass, Talk That Talk Lipstick, Nude Lipstick

RiRi Woo Lipglass ($16.50): This cool, juicy red gloss is astounding! It not only has a rich pigmentation, but the consistency is just as awesome. I have a couple of MAC lipglasses in my collection but none of them are like this one. They are pretty sticky and heavy feeling on my lips. But RiRi Woo brings something different to the table. It goes on smooth, evenly, and it feels comfortable on. It's super shiny, too. RiRi Woo looks great sported alone on the lips, but it adds an extra special kick to RiRi Woo lipstick, when layered atop.

Talk That Talk Lipstick ($16.50): I was initially really excited about Talk That Talk. The matte, dark plum color is absolutely stunning-one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. But unfortunately, the texture left a lot to be desired. This tugs on my lips during application, and the results are always uneven and patchy looking. It also feels a bit drying on. Applying lip balm to the lips prior to this does help a little. Even though the texture isn't anything to write home about, the gorgeous color makes up for it. So, I guess I don't mind putting in the extra effort to get this to work and look it's best on my lips.

Nude Lipstick ($16.50): I love neutral lipsticks, so of course I had to have Nude lipstick. This cool, medium brown is surprisingly flattering on, and it pairs nicely with neutral or smokey eyes. One would never guess this lipstick contains a matte formulation, since the consistency of the lipstick is so creamy and smooth. It goes on evenly and it doesn't accentuate any dry patches. Love this one!

Her Cocoa Eyeshadow X4

Her Cocoa Eyeshadow X4 ($44): This neutral centric eyeshadow quad was just too darling to pass up. All four shades are right up my alley, and I know I am going to be getting a lot of use out these, being that I am obsessed with neutral eyeshadows. The quad includes a light gold (lustre), a peachy beige (satin), a golden bronze (veluxe pearl), and a chocolate bronze (lustre), all in varying finishes. Her Cocoa has all the essential shadows you need to effortlessly create a dazzling, warm neutral eye look. The pigmentation on these shadows do not disappoint, and the soft texture makes these a cinch to apply and blend.

Like I mentioned in the beginning of the post, a lot of stuff sold out fast. You can try checking MAC counters but as of right now, I see that a couple items-as well as Her Cocoa Eyeshadow X4 and the RiRi Woo Lipglass, are still available on the Nordstrom and Bloomingdales websites. So if you are interested, get them soon before they are gone!

What did you all pick up from the RiRi ♥ MAC Fall collection?

  1. Nude looks so nice on your lips! I love the packaging off this collection - some think it's tacky but I find that I love MAC's tackier packaging. It makes it so much fun to collect! I was contemplating the RiRi quad, but wasn't sure of the pigmentation. I never hear good things about their collection quads although your swatches make me want to change my mind, haha!

    1. Thanks, Jessica! I totally agree with you when it comes to MAC eyeshadow quads. They often get a bad rep, but I am glad I took a chance on this one. I was pleasantly surprised by it :)

    1. Hey, Amy! Yea, Talk That Talk is just not doing it for me in the texture department. Did you try applying a bit of lip balm before applying Talk That Talk? I found that helped a little.

  3. Do you use any lipliners? I'm looking for a good lipstick/lipliner duo.
