Birchbox│August 2013

Good morning, lovelies! Today I am going to be sharing with you all what I received in my August Birchbox. The theme for this month is "Finishing School". The box is curated with products that will make those finishing beauty touches a breeze. I am game for anything that doesn't involve a lot of fuss, so these items are definitely great contenders to simplify and quicken my routine.

Whish│Exfoliating Body Wash: This brightening body wash gently exfoliates the skin with the help of bamboo powder, and sugar cane. I love anything coconut scented, so the fact that this has a coconut fragrance is a huge plus for me. It makes it all that more enjoyable to use! (Full Size: $22)

Curly Hair Solutions│Curl Keeper: This weightless serum promises to keep curls defined, frizz free, and shiny. It's also water-based, which makes this a great product for daily use since it won't produce build up. I have very curly hair, and it pretty much has a mind of it's own. This sounds like it will be a nice treat for my frizz-prone curly tresses. (Full Size: $10)

Cailyn Cosmetics│Line Fix Gel Eyeliner: I love gel eyeliners, so I am delighted that I got one in my box this month. It's also full-size, to boot! This black eyeliner is nicely pigmented, and the consistency is very smooth. It glides onto the lids effortlessly, without any tugging at the skin. I didn't think I would like the included application brush, but I am actually quite fond of it. It's not flimsy, and it easily applies the eyeliner. This eyeliner is definitely the stand out item in the box, for me. (Full Size: $21)

OC8│Professional Mattifying Gel: This sheer, lightweight gel promises up to 8 hours of shine absorption. Since I have a pretty oily t-zone, anything that helps minimize oil and shine is always welcome. I am looking forward to giving this a try. (Full Size: $41)

Whish│Hair Inhibiting Deodorant Swipe: I don't think I have ever encountered deodorant wipes before, so this one will certainly be interesting to test out. The wipes help eliminate odor and slow down hair growth, which I think is pretty cool. (Full Size: $16)

Also included in my box was a generous, Birchbox-exclusive Ann Taylor coupon.
