MAC Beth Ditto Collection: Pro Longwear Lipcremes-Dear Diary, You're Perfect Already

MAC's limited edition Beth Ditto collection, arrives in North American MAC stores and counters, today. This collection is one that is sure to cater to many, thanks to its inclusion of both bold, and neutral colors. With the bright, and daring colors, you are sure to stand out in the crowd. But if you tend to lean on the neutral side of things, there is something in this collection for you too. No matter what the preference is, everyone wins!

While browsing the MAC website last week, I saw that the collection was already up, and I did not hesitate to order a few things. I finally got my goodies in the mail this week, and I couldn't be anymore thrilled with them. Prepare to fall in love with MAC's Pro Longwear Lipcremes in Dear Diary, and You're Perfect Already ($17.00, each)

Left To Right: Dear Diary, You're Perfect Already
Dear Diary
You're Perfect Already
Dear Diary: Bright, fuchsia pink. It's pink, it's bright, it had to me mine. Hey, check me out rhyming. But seriously, this lipstick is a must-have if you are a lover of bright pink lip colors. The intensity of this pink is stunning! Breathtaking, really. Dear Diary applied effortlessly, and the formula contained a smooth and creamy texture, that was pleasant to work with. It provided very opaque coverage, too. But watch out, this color is susceptible to staining. It stained my lips like no other!

You're Perfect Already: Neutral, pale pink/peach beige. I am constantly persuaded by a pretty nude lip color. I just can't get enough of them. The texture of this one was smooth and creamy, and I got opaque results instantly. I did notice some settling into my lip lines, though. In any case, this is a nice, essential color that I am happy to have added to my collection. You just can't go wrong with a basic neutral.

After application, within a minute or two, these lip colors sort of 'set' on my lips. And once they do, the creamy texture disappears and becomes a bit tacky. I am guessing this happens so that the lip colors can have prolonged wear time. Which makes perfect sense, seeing as these lip colors are meant to wear for a long period of time-up to12 hours, actually. These lip colors do feel a bit heavy on my lips, definitely not lightweight like I am accustomed to. But it's not a huge deal-breaker for me. I can deal. I have never tried MAC's Pro Lonwear Lipcremes so, I didn't know what to expect. But that texture transition from creamy to tacky, was a really interesting surprise. It's even more surprising that they maintain a semi-creamy appearance on the lips, even though they don't feel creamy after awhile.

As for lasting power, I have no complaints. For the most part, these really do stay on for hours. While testing, I really put both of these to the test. I blotted, I ate, and I drank a beverage with this stuff on, and the color hardly budged. Just a faint, if it did. I found that Dear Diary held on much longer than You're Perfect Already-only because Dear Diary provided a stain on my lips. Granted, I haven't worn these past the 8-9 hour mark but, I wouldn't be surprised if they really did last 12 hours. They definitely have the potential. Especially, Dear Diary

To conclude this post, I have to say that I am really happy with both of these Pro Longwear Lipcremes. The pigmentation is phenomenal, and the longevity is just as great. I suggest that if you have your eye on Dear Diary, pick it up as soon as possible. I am sure this color will sell out fast!

What do you all think of the Pro Longwear Lipcremes in Dear Diary and You're Perfect Already? What are you all picking up from the Beth Ditto collection?
