Cargo: Spring Collection 2012

I simply love when beauty brands come out with seasonal makeup sets. The sets not only contain products that work well together but, you are also getting an incredible value to boot. While shopping on Apothica.com, I came across this set by Cargo, and was immediately intrigued with it. I am not too familiar with Cargo cosmetics so I thought it was a nice time to try a few products. The Cargo Spring Collection ($39.00) kit contains four full sized items that are sure to add a soft, luminous touch to your beauty regime this spring-lasting well into the summer months. Along with the beauty items, the kit also includes a super adorable clutch to carry all of your goodies in.

Check it out!

Inside
Clutch: I think this leatherette bag played a major role when it came to me getting this kit. I love the neutral, light beige color of the bag with the punched in holes throughout. And the fuchsia lining inside, adds a perfect girly touch. But I have to say, the best part of this bag is the butterfly applique. It just contributes to the cuteness factor. I definitely think of spring/summer when I look at this clutch. Love!

Eyeshadow Duo in Sardinia: This eyeshadow duo comes housed in a round, tin container. I really like the tin packaging because when I am on the go, I know that the tin is sturdy and reliable enough, to protect the eyeshadows, while in my bag. The first eyeshadow color is a light pink frost with small silver shimmers, and the second is a brown/bronze with golden shimmers. The texture of both shadows are super smooth, and they each blend effortlessly. The pigmentation is really nice, too.

I am not too fond of cool toned eyeshadows-let alone pink frosty ones, but surprisingly the pink in this duo is really complimenting against my brown eyes. I also find that it brightens up my eye area a bit, as well. I like to apply the light pink all over my lid area, and then blend the brown into my crease area, and done! Easy done up eyes in no time!

Coral Beach Blush: The blush also comes housed in a round, tin container, and contains four strips of gorgeous coordinating colors. Starting from the left strip, we have a light apricot peach, light pink, rosy coral, and a bronze. All of the shades have fine, golden shimmers throughout but, the shimmers don't look overpowering and are hardly noticeable, once applied.

Each color is insanely pigmented. A little definitely goes a long way. The smooth texture and ease of blendability are an added treat, that makes application a pleasure. I swirl my blush brush over all of the color strips, and the pop of warm coral that I get on my cheeks is stunning! I can already tell that this blush is going to be one of my staples, for the warmer months.

Long Wear Lip Gloss in Fresno: Fresno is a creamy soft pink, which applies sheer, and gives my lips a natural looking shine. The consistency of the gloss is somewhat thick, and it feels a tad sticky on. Although the gloss is sticky, it doesn't feel uncomfortable or heavy on my lips, which is nice. I really enjoy the slanted, flat sponge-tip, applicator. I find it makes the application of the gloss a breeze by allowing the gloss to spread easily and evenly on my lips.

This lip gloss does have a sweet fragrance to it. I find that the scent lasts for a good while on the lips, too. When the gloss starts to fade, that's when the fragrance lessens-which is not until about 2-3 hours later.

3 Triple Action Mascara in Black: Not only does this mascara lengthen and volumize my lashes, but it also creates a beautiful curl, that holds up all day! I have used my fair share of mascaras, and while they provide me with length and/or volume, I don't think I have ever used one that curled my lashes like this one does.

I love the plastic, spiked tooth applicator brush because, I find that it helps separate and lengthen my lashes quite nicely, with very minimal effort. All it takes is 1-2 coats to obtain awesome looking lashes! With this mascara, I don't experience clumps, smudging, or flakes throughout the day. Score! This Triple Action Mascara is a winner in my eyes, and I am even considering purchase a tube, once I am done using up this one.
Fresno lipgloss, and Triple Action Mascara

Overall, I think this set is pretty amazing. If you are one who favors minimal, natural-looking makeup looks, this set is one you might want to look into. I was really happy with these items. All of the products in this set are simply perfect for spring/summer and, you just can't go wrong with any of them.

What do you all think of this spring collection from Cargo? Which are your favorite Cargo beauty products?
