Dr. Jart+: Pore Purifying Mask, And Water-Full Hydrogel Mask

Hey dolls, I hope you are all having a lovely day! I recently got the opportunity to try some Dr. Jart + Skincare items and, I just can't wait to share my thoughts on them with you all. I am not really familiar with this skincare brand but, according to the Sephora website, Dr. Jart's products are one of the leading skincare brands in Asia. And, his products are safe for all skin types-even those who have sensitive skin.

Well dolls, these are products that need to be on your radar because, they are just fabulous. I received two different face masks for review and let me just say, both of them provided me with some amazing results, that I just had to share with you all.

Check it out!

Sorry about the sogginess. This mask is really saturated with serum!
Pore Medic Pore Purifying Mask ($6.00): This mask is meant to help tighten and unclog pores, as well as to minimize and reduce oil. I have super oily skin so, this mask certainly was one that I was excited to try.

Product Facts
*This mask is free from alcohol, parabens, artificial color, and fragrance
*Ideal to use for those who have oily, normal, and acne prone skin
*Skin benefiting ingredients include: Green tea extract which is infused with antioxidants to help reduce inflammation, hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, Chestnut Shell Extract to help stimulate the tightening of pores, Orange Extract to help brighten and rejuvenate the skin, and plum extract which helps control and absorb oil.

I have never tried a facial cloth mask before so, this was a new and exciting experience for me. When I first opened the packet, I admit, it was a little messy. This packet is loaded with serum! I took out the folded, 100% organic cotton mask, and while unfolding it, I was really scared that I would accidentally tear it up but luckily, the cotton material was very strong. The mask contains openings/cut outs for the eye area, nose, and lips. I found that the size of the openings were just perfect for me. Everything settled into place, accordingly.

So, I went ahead and applied the mask on my face. Since this mask was drenched and heavily saturated with the serum, I was almost certain that I was going to have a hard time applying this mask but, that wasn't the case. It was a fuss-free experience, really. I just had to do a little position adjusting here and there, but for the most part, it went on easily. I noticed no fragrance at all so, those with sensitive noses, rejoice! The directions on the packet suggest leaving this mask on for 15-30 minutes. I left it on for 30. Within 5 minutes of the mask being on, I started to feel a strong, tingling cooling sensation all over my face, that remained throughout the whole time I was wearing the mask. I was a little concerned at first but, it wasn't anything terrible or very bothersome. It was just...weird.

When the 30 minutes went by, I took off the mask-which was still heavily saturated with the serum, and rubbed the remaining serum that was on my face from the mask, into my skin. The serum quickly absorbed into my skin but, my skin did feel somewhat tacky. The tackiness slowly dissipates after awhile, though. My face felt moisturized and refreshed. I didn't really notice any difference in my pore size but, I believe this mask did in fact, help control the oiliness on my t-zone area (forehead, and nose). My face has been much less oilier than it often is, and I noticed that I don't really have to touch up my foundation with powder, at all! Usually by mid day, I am a shiny mess so, I think that's pretty amazing how my oil production has considerably subsided because of this mask.

Most Moist Water-Full Hydrogel Mask ($9.00): This gel patch mask works to help with skin elasticity and hydration. Aside from oily skin, I also have dry skin. I couldn't wait to see how this mask would tackle my stubborn dryness.

Product Facts
*The gel deeply penetrates into the skin to help lock in moisture more efficiently, than a regular moisturizer does (awesome!)
*This mask contains natural extracts and hyaluronic acid, which not only help hydrate the skin, but also reduces the appearance of fine lines.
*This product is formulated without sulfates, synthetic dyes, triclosan, and phthalates. It is also alcohol free and acid free.

Before I gave this mask a try, I followed the suggestion on the back of the packet and stored this mask into the refrigerator, to cool the gel. When I opened the packet, I saw that there were two mask parts. One half covered the portion of the face from the nose up, while the other took care of the lower portion of the face. I thought this was a pretty nice touch that surely made applying the mask, much easier. I removed the backing that covered the side with the gel, and applied it to my face. When the gel touched my skin, I instantly felt a soothing, and a light cooling sensation that was just amazing. Application was mess free-which I loved, and the cut outs on the mask for the eyes, nose and lips, all comfortably adjusted on my face. I did detect a fragrance that I actually quite liked. I didn't find it cloying or strong one bit. The directions imply to leave this mask on the skin, anywhere between 15-20 minutes. I decided to leave it on for 20.

When the 20 minutes were up, I proceeded to remove the mask. It removed really easily, and I was just amazed at how smooth my skin felt. This was probably the softest my skin has felt in a long time. I also noticed a luminous, healthy looking glow to my skin, as well. It was nice to feel the cooling and soothing sensation for a little while longer, after I removed the patches. My face didn't feel tacky nor did it have any gel residue of the sort.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, both of these masks were a delight to use and I am definitely going to be purchasing some more of these in the near future. Frankly, they both gave me results that admittedly, I was not expecting. These masks both helped with my stubborn oily and dry skin. I was truly blown away. I have really sensitive, acne-prone skin and none of these products were irritating, or bothersome to my skin. In fact, I think my skin looks more even toned, and feels the best it has in a long time. I really hope that these masks become available in affordable combo packs, instead of individual packets. Individually, they are a bit more than I would ever pay for a face mask but, until the combo pack thing happens-if it ever does, I will have to deal with the pricing because, these masks are just too awesome.

Both masks are available in Sephora stores, and on Sephora.com. Stay tuned because I have a Dr. Jart+ Beauty Balm review coming up! Its actually the first Beauty Balm I have ever tried!

What do you all think of these facial masks from Dr. Jart+? Thinking of picking these up? Tried them before?

    1. The Pore Purifying Mask did just that for me! And believe me, I have a ridiculous amount of oil on my skin. I was really amazed at how well the mask controlled it. I honestly never thought a product could be able to do that!
