Wet n' Wild Megalast Nail Color: I Need a Refresh-Mint

When warm weather arrives, nail colors that are bright and pastel-like, are always pulling me in. It was a very natural decision when I decided to add Wet n' Wild's Megalast Nail Color in I Need a Refresh-Mint ($1.99), to my summer nail polish lineup. If you are a fan of greens, brights, and pastels, this is a nail color you need to have!

Wet n' Wild Megalast Nail Color: I Need a Refresh-Mint. Two coats applied, no topcoat
I Need a Refresh-Mint is a lovely bright, aqua cream, that leans more on the greener side than it does blue. In the nail swatch picture above, it looks more blue. But in person, the green tinge is hard to miss. The first coat went on a bit streaky but once I applied coat number two, everything evened out and provided a smooth, opaque coverage. Drying time was super quick, as I imagined it would be. Gotta love fast drying nail colors. Especially ones that dry to a shiny finish, like this one does :)

I really love the Megalast nail brush. The width of the nail brush makes it really easy for me to cover my nail beds much quicker, than an average nail brush does. Although, I can see how the width of the nail brush may be an issue for those who have smaller nail beds. Just something to think about.

I typically have a good experience with the Megalast nail colors, when it comes to lasting power. I get about 5 days wear, before I start to notice any chips or tip wear-and that's without applying a topcoat. I know that mint nail colors are nothing new and, you all probably have a few in your nail collections already. But if you don't, I can't recommend this one enough. It's an awesome affordable affordable option and, its one of those staple colors that will be around for a long time.

  1. I have this color and I love it! I'm also loving how the brush is design. Easier to apply the polish real close to my cuticles.
