Christina Aguilera: Royal Desire

I recently got the opportunity to try Christina Aguilera's latest fragrance, Royal Desire ($37.00-$47.00). I am not very familiar with her fragrances so, I was really happy to try this one. This fragrance comes with a mission-to make women feel special. And, I think its safe to say that we all deserve to feel this way. Christina wanted this fragrance to remind women that they need to take time everyday to treat themselves, and "feel sexy and beautiful". This fragrance is for you, if you love to feel desirable and want to have the "sensual elegance of a queen".

Royal Desire is an Eau De Parfum that contains notes of marshmallow, lily, honeysuckle, yuzu citrus, iris, rose, blackcurrant, cedarwood, and sandalwood. The fruity and musky notes come together to create a delicious scent that is sure to make an impression, on those who appreciate a scent of this sort. When I first spritz this fragrance on my wrists, I immediately detect the lovely floral scent. Then pretty soon, the musky notes creep in. I really do love floral and musky fragrances. When both the floral and muskiness are combined in a fragrance, it is a lovely treat. I get the best of both in one fragrance.

I really liked the soft pink and brown box packaging design. The brown bow adds such a fun element to the perfume. Actually, the packaging was designed this way intentionally, to evoke the feeling of a gift that one can't wait to unwrap. The bottle design is precious. It contains a removable heart charm with the initials CA, engraved on it. If you take a look at the back of the box packaging picture below, you will notice that the charm you receive depends on the size of the fragrance that you get. The 50ml bottle of Royal Desire contains a fleur de lis charm, while the 15ml size contains a fan-shaped charm.

When it comes to lasting power, on me, this fragrance holds strong for about 3-4 hours. By then, the floral notes would have faded away, and all I am left with is a hint of musky, sweetness. I like that this fragrance is not overpowering, like other scents can be. It is a very comfortable scent to wear and I would say that it's one that is appropriate to sport day, or night.

Overall, I truly enjoyed using Royal Desire. I can't wait to wear it for a night out. My 24th birthday is coming up next week so, this shall be my scent of choice for the occasion. Love!

Have any of you tried Christina Aguilera's Royal Desire Fragrance?
