Product Review: Milani Baked Powder Blush-Rose D' Oro

I am probably a little late when it comes to experiencing the gorgeousness that is Milani's Rose D' Oro Baked Powder Blush ($7.99). I have not really experimented much when it comes to Milani Cosmetics, but I may just start looking more into this popular, drugstore brand because, this blush is something else.

Milani Baked Powder Blush-Rose D' Oro

Rose D'Oro is a lovely marbled pinky/peach/coral, that contains tons of gorgeous gold shimmer. I also see some hints of gold veining as well. Although I see little hints of pink color in the blush, to me, this leans toward a more vibrant peach/coral. These blushes can be used either dry, or wet for a more dramatic effect. The pigmentation is superb, and a llittle goes a long way. You can create a softer look, or build up the intensity as you apply, for a much brighter pop of color on your cheeks.
The powder is really smooth to the touch-not gritty at all, blends beautifully on my cheeks, and the gold shimmers are not overpowering at all. My cheeks just have a lovely, soft, glow look to it.

Although I really liked this baked blush, the only con that I had with Rose D' Oro was that, it did not really last all day on my cheeks. It lasted about 4-5 hours during a full school day before I saw some fading, and needed to touch up and re-apply again. But, that may just be something I experienced, because my skin is pretty oily. But I would suggest to try it out for yourself. Who knows? The lasting power may be much better for you guys than it was on me. Keep in mind that everybody's skin is different, and reacts differently to certain products.

The packaging is a bit bulky, but still really pretty, nonetheless. I really like the gold. It makes it look really luxurious. Housed in the lower compartment, is a mini-application blush brush. The brush hairs aren't soft at all-kind of scratchy on my cheeks, actually. But it's not a huge deal breaker for me seeing as I apply this baked blush with my own blush brush anyway. Also, the compact contains a mirror as well. Perfect for when one is on the go.

Overall, I am pretty happy with this blush, and I will definitely be checking out more shades in the line, as well as other Milani products. Check out the Milani website to find out more about the Baked Powder Blush line. Milani Baked Powder Blushes are available in most drugstores.
