Fashion Crave: Valentine's Day

Hey Dolls! I hope you are all doing well. I started the new semester on Monday and I am sorry that I have been behind on posting and commenting. It has just been a busy week of preparation-buying textbooks, and loads of reading assignments already. Here is to a productive and successful semester!

As you all know, Valentine's Day is just around the corner :) I know the color red comes to mind when I think of Valentine's Day and what color outfit would be perfect for the romantic occasion. But I think that it is always fun to branch out a bit, and experiment with different colors. For this Fashion Crave post I thought it would be really fun to use green!
I think green is a color that works for every skin tone, and it is a lovely stand out color. When wearing a bright, stand out piece, go neutral with the rest of your outfit so that the green alone is the center of attention.

1. French Connection Florida Summer Dress ($51.99)- This sexy, strapless number will definitely have everybody's eyes on you. It may look like a simple dress, but it has loads of personality. I love the removable belt which is great for cinching you in, and showing off your waist.

2. Juniors Ruffle Edge Pleather Jacket ($20.99)- Jackets like these are my favorite to pair with dresses. They are simple, no fuss, and gives the look a little rocker vibe-especially when wearing a mini dress.

3. Steve Madden Russhh ($89.95)- Nude pumps are always great to pair up with bright colors. Not to mention, they are also great at elongating your legs. Love that! I could always use a little more length in the leg department. LOL!

4. Merona Opaque Black Tights ($7.00)- In case it is a bit chilly where you are at, or if you want to make the look more conservative, you can never go wrong with black tights. A staple that I think should be in everybody's wardrobe.

5. Urban Expressions Black Flap Clutch ($39.75)- A tan clutch is great to pair up with the nude pumps. I also think that this tan clutch looks really pretty next to the green dress. The colors contrast in a beautiful way.

6. Sajen Sterling Silver Caribbean Quartz Ring ($47.96-$49.99)- When I think of jewelry paired with green, I think silver is the way to go. How gorgeous is this green quartz ring? Even though this ring is also green like the dress, I don't believe that the two items will clash together. I actually think that they would compliment each other quite well.

7. Betsey Johnson Heart Crystal Stud ($30.00)- The last addition to the outfit has to be gorgeous heart shaped studs. These studs would look gorgeous peeking out if you decide to style your hair in a gorgeous loose bun.

What do you all think of this outfit? Is this something you all would wear out for a special occasion? Let me know in the comments section, I would love to hear your thoughts.
