Mini E.L.F. Haul Part 1

Hey Dolls!

TGIF! What are your plans for this coming weekend? Doing anything exciting? I am going to try and enjoy this week as much as possible because the winter break has come to an end and I return to school January 31 to begin my Spring semester. Boo! But I kind of missed school, so it's all good LOL!

I ordered a few items from E.L.F. a few weeks ago when they had one of their free shipping on orders $25.00 or more events. I want to break this topic into two posts because I went picture crazy and took loads of photos of the items. I wanted to show you all the items in great detail.

Here are a few of the goodies. (click all images to enlarge)

E.L.F. SPF 45 Sunscreen UVA/UVB Protection

E.L.F. SPF 45 Sunscreen UVA/UVB Protection ($6.00)- I purchased this translucent sunscreen powder on a whim, and I am so happy I did. I think it is great for everyday use and makes a nice finishing touch over your makeup, to help give you that extra protection against those harmful UVA and UVB rays from the sun. It can be used on your face and body, and it also contains good for your skin ingredients such as Aloe Vera and Grape Seed extract, and Vitamins A, C, and E which are great skin soothers. This loose powder is housed in a sleek looking gigantic black jar with sifter holes, and included is a soft powder puff.
Although this powder looks like it applies with color, it goes on completely sheer so I am sure this loose powder will work on every skin tone. I love the options that one can have with this powder. If you are not one who is fond of applying a cream/liquid sunscreen, this powder may be a great option for you as it feels lightweight, and non-sticky or tacky like other sunscreens can feel. I love to apply it alone on those days that I just don't feel like wearing makeup, or over my makeup and it looks and feels great. I am extremely happy about the fact that this loose powder contains an SPF of 45 which is amazing. I am not entirely sure how well this powder would work alone without any other sort of sunscreen protection, so I first apply my moisturizer with sunscreen and apply this powder on top.
Although I do love this loose powder, my only gripe would be with the packaging. I find that it can be extremely difficult to screw on the lid. It seems to get stuck and therefore, I put up a fight to get it to screw shut.

E.L.F. Nail Polish in Desert Haze

E.L.F. Nail Polish in Desert Haze ($1.00)- This nail polish is FAB! I love colors like these which have a nude scheme to them. I have been really into the nude nail color trend lately-especially for these winter months, and Desert Haze is a great addition to my collection. Not to mention for the $1.00 price tag? You can't beat that. I would describe Desert Haze to be "greige"? Grey mixed with a hint of beige. I am not very good at describing nail polish colors so please forgive me LOL! But nonetheless, this color is fantastic and application is a breeze. Non-streaky, no air bubbles in sight, applies smoothly, and I get opaque nail coverage with just two coats. Drying time is super quick and I love how a top coat is optional as it dries to a glossy finish.

E.L.F. Studio Stipple Brush (sorry for the dirty brush-I couldn't help trying it out)

E.L.F. Studio Stipple Brush ($3.00)- This is my new favorite brush for applying liquid foundation. The soft brush hairs are synthetic taklon, anti-bacterial, and perfect for achieving flawless foundation or blush application. Now, although I really like this stippling brush, I do find it to be a bit flimsy and not firm enough-making foundation blending take a little longer than usual . But luckily it is very simple to work with. Love! Also, I am happy to report that this stippling brush has not shed on me, and it does not soak up all the foundation like some brushes tend to do.

Have any of you tried these items from E.L.F.? Let me know in the comments section, I want to hear! And stay tuned for part 2 of this little E.L.F. haul in where I show you all a blush, pencil eyeliner, and my new favorite everyday lipstick.

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with any of the companies mentioned above. I purchased these products for my personal use.
