Product Review: E.L.F. Beauty Book-Smokey Eye Edition

Hey Lovelies!

What a great Sunday it was here in New York. Pretty cloudy day, but very comfortable weather. I did a lot of window shopping today with the hub in the downtown New York area, and boy are there lots of great new fashions out. I stopped by H and M and there was a lot of cute stuff. I want to go back and pick some stuff up pretty soon. What a nice way to end the weekend. I hope the weekend was very nice and relaxing for all of you. It just dawned on me that I almost go back to school. I go back August 26. To be truthful, I am looking forward to going back. I miss the studying and learning. I hope this coming semester is a great one for me and I do good in all of my classes.

I stopped by Target last week and I picked up this amazing E.L.F. Beauty Book Smokey Eye Edition eyeshadow palette ($5.00). It contains 12 eye shadows, 1 black eyeliner, and 1 eyeshadow sponge applicator. I am so in love with this eyeshadow book. There are other sorts of this beauty book series with different eye shadows, but for the moment my local Target had just this smokey eye edition sort.

I am just going to break the pros and cons down for you all to make this review more brief. I can go forever writing reviews LOL!

Pros:
1. Great pigmentation

2. Affordable-$5.00 for 12 eye shadows, and an eyeliner!!!

3. The size of the shadows are pretty generous

4. The palette includes a great sized mirror

5. Magnetic closure
5. This kit comes with written and illustrated instructions on how and where to apply the eyeshadow. This is a great feature for those who are new to eyeshadow application
6. Lasting power is great (I make sure to apply an eyeshadow base beforehand)

7. Has great options such as your basic neutrals and dark eyeshadow colors

8. Eyeshadow is soft in texture

Cons:
1. Eye shadows are a bit powdery

2. Some shades may cause some fallout

Here are some pictures of the shadows, and swatches applied on the tips of my fingers. All of the shadows contain a shimmer to them except the matte white shadow. (Click all images to enlarge)

1. Matte White
2. Dark Silver with shimmer
3. Black with silver shimmer

4. Light Silver with shimmer

Left To Right (2nd row):
