Review│Dose Of Colors Desi x Katy Collection

Dose Of Colors' Desi x Katy collection is probably one of my favorite releases of the year. The limited edition collection is in collaboration with Desi Perkins and Katy a.k.a. LustreLux. Desi and Katy are two of my favorite YouTube beauty gurus, and this collection totally emulates their style. It's clean, glam-just look at the packaging!, with a dose of fun.

The Dose Of Colors Desi x Katy collection is fairly small and is comprised of a four-pan eyeshadow palette, two highlighters, two lipsticks, two liquid lipsticks, and a sparkling lip gloss. I managed to pick up the eyeshadow palette, one of the highlighting powders which imparts some major glow, a super creamy nude lipstick that's already one of my go-to's, and a dark and sultry liquid lipstick that's perfect for fall.

The Girls Eyeshadow Palette ($28)
This eyeshadow palette contains a gorgeous mix of shimmers and sparkling textures that add a luminous and brightening pop to the eyes. Suz is a bright champagne, Harpoon is a cool green with green and gold reflects, Turbosan is a cool purple/brown with purple and silver reflects, and Noli is a bronze with gold reflects. The shadows are all very smooth and pigmented. They go on the lids nicely and are easy to build. These colors are right up my alley, and I am especially enjoying the two textured shadows (Harpoon and Turbosan) which to me are the stars of the palette. I like to use them as toppers, layering them over other shadows. I just love the extra sparkle on the lids. For a smokey look, I layer Turbosan over a black eye shadow for an unexpected pop of glimmer. And Harpoon effortlessly takes neutral eyes to another level when applied on top of a brown or golden eyeshadow. Speaking of application, Dose Of Colors actually recommend applying Turbosan with a finger and Suz and Harpoon with a damp finger. Fingers are definitely the way to go when it comes to packing on these shadows on the lids. You get a more intense color payoff, as opposed to using a brush.

Fuego Highlighter ($28)
This golden champagne highlighter is everything! It looks so good on the skin, and adds such a beautiful intense glow. I love how smooth this highlighting powder is. It goes on effortlessly and melts onto the skin without accentuating texture on the skin. Highly recommend!

No Shade Lipstick ($16)
It's been awhile since I have found a good nude lipstick, and this one doesn't disappoint. It has a creamy texture that glides on lips without hanging on to dry spots, it feels lightweight on, and the pigmentation is lovely. This lipstick has a vanilla scent which I actually enjoy, and the lasting power isn't too shabby. I am happy to report that the light peachy hue of No Shade actually flatters me (I am a MAC NC25 for reference) without looking overwhelmingly pale against my skin. For beauties with medium-deep skin tones, I suggest checking out the other nude lipstick from the release, More Creamer Please, which has a more brown/peach undertone.

Saváge Liquid Lipstick ($18)
This rich blackened burgundy lip color was just calling my name. I absolutely love it! Dose Of Colors' liquid lipstick formula is one of my favorites. Smooth application, great color payoff, comfortable, and long wearing.

The Dose Of Colors Desi x Katy collection is limited edition and available now on the Dose Of Colors website! Make sure to hurry though, because this is the final time the collection will be restocked!
