This month's Play! box/bag was such a win. I received lots of new beauty, skincare and hair care goodies to play with, including a few items that have been on my wishlist for a super long time. "The Innovators" is the theme for August and it puts the spotlight on products that are changing the beauty game.

Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick

Since it's release, this foundation has garnered quite the following. I am currently having a stick foundation moment (I think it's because I find them to be more moisturizing than other foundations, and my skin desperately needs the hydration) so Hourglass' Vanish Foundation couldn't have arrived at a better time for me. It promises high pigment, a full coverage and a weightless feel. My favorite foundation stick right now is the one from Make Up For Ever, and I am curious to see how the Hourglass one compares to it. I received the color shell and it seems like it's going to be a good match for my skin tone.

Beauty Blender Micro Mini

I have always been intrigued by this miniature beauty blender. You can use it to blend highlighter, contour and concealer. I think the size and shape of the sponge is perfect for getting into smaller areas, for a precise application. I am already a huge fan of the iconic original Beauty Blender, so I have no doubt that I am going to like this mini version equally as much.

Alterna Hair Care Caviar Anti-Aging Miracle Multiplying Volume Mist

This mist imparts volume and texture to hair, while also strengthening and softening strands for a fuller and lustrous look and feel.

Clinique Dual-Ended High Impact Mascara & Primer Duo

I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara and primer. It gave my wimpy lashes mega length, definition, lift, and even a bit of a curl. The brush separates my lashes nicely, and I didn't experience any smudging throughout wear time. This is a new beauty favorite, for sure!

Korres Golden Krocus Ageless Saffron Elixir Serum

This serum helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, while making the complexion more youthful and softer. I love how beautiful this serum looks, as well as how amazing it smells. I can't wait to try this one.

Burberry My Burberry Black

I wasn't a fan of this fragrance when I initially sprayed it on-it was a little too overwhelming for me. But after 3-5 minutes, the scent settled and softened, and I ended up kind of liking the floral and sweet mix. The notes are a blend of  jasmine, candied rose and amber. This scent is a nice one for the fall.
