Birchbox│November 2015

After a bit of a hiatus, I decided to subscribe to Birchbox again. I took a break because quote frankly, all of these monthly beauty subscriptions can get overwhelming sometimes. I needed a breather. For the most part I have always been pleased with the samples I receive in my Birchbox and luckily for me, my first box back was a pretty good one.

theBalm Cosmetics Balm Desert: I love theBalm's face powders, so I was happy to see this one in my box. This is toted as being both a bronzer and blush, and it just gives the most healthiest flush of color. I think this is one of those products that will look flattering on everyone. I may look into buying the full size! (Value: $2.61)

LOC One & Done Shadow Stick: LOC (Love of Color) is Birchbox's new makeup brand. They partner with beauty experts to bring us the gotta-have hues of the moment. The products are super trendy, and reasonably priced. For the first lineup of products (shadow sticks and lipsticks), they partnered with YouTubebeauty star Tati Westbrook, who selected and curated the on-trend shades, I received a shadow stick in the shade Nite Owl, a gorgeous deep plum that packs a punch on the color department. The shadow sticks are waterproof, creaseless, and long wearing. They are also paraben free. I can't wait to try this shadow, which is going to be perfect for creating a smoked out eye look. (Full Size: $10)

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo: I am not really an avid user of dry shampoos. I should be though, since my roots can get oily in between washes. This dry shampoo not only helps absorb excess oil and dirt, it also contains fatty-acid rich obliphica oil which helps moisturize and strengthen hair, It's safe for color treated hair too. (Value: $3.11)

Davines This Is a Relaxing Moisturizing Fluid: This hair moisturizer is a powerhouse multi-tasker. It helps eliminate frizz, moisturize, add shine, and prep hair for hot tools. I tried a bit of this last night and I love how it softened my hair. It smells amazing, to boot. (Value: $10.41)

BioRepublic Skincare Cucumber Breeze Soothing Fiber Mask: This sheet mask helps tighten pores, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and calm skin thanks to ingredients like cucumber extract, plant collagen and vitamin e. I received this mask in one of my Ipsy bags a couple of months ago so, this product isn't unfamiliar to me. I did give this a try and it did indeed soothe and soften my skin. It was fun to use and it also didn't irritate my sensitive skin, which is a bonus. (Value: $4.83)
