Birchbox│February 2014

Every month, I look forward to receiving my beauty subscription boxes/bags (I am currently subscribed to Julep, Ipsy, and Birchbox). It's like opening a fun present every month, and who doesn't love that, right? My February Birchbox just came in and for this month's box, Birchbox teamed up with the editors at Us Weekly to bring us products that will have us looking and feeling red carpet ready in no time-it is awards season, after all.

Birchbox February 2014 Contents

Ruby Wing Color Changing Nail Polish: A polish of this sort is a first for me, since I have never tried color changing polishes before. I received "Ride 'Em Cowgirl" which is a sparkling gold glitter that contains holographic bits. Once outdoors in the sun, the polish color morphs from gold to a berry thanks to it's SolarActive® Technology that causes the polish to transition colors once it comes in contact with UV rays . I have to admit, the color changing concept is really interesting and I can't wait to try this out for myself. By the way, this nail color is non toxic and vegan. Love! (Full Size: $10)

Camille Beckman Glycerine Hand Treatment: I really enjoyed this hand cream (I received the Morelia Monarch scent). It's super rich, creamy, and moisturizing thanks to hydrating and nourishing ingredients like vitamin e, aloe vera, glycerin, and almond oil. This hand cream quickly absorbs into the skin without leaving behind a greasy film, and it has an amazing fragrance-but it might be a bit too strong for some. (Full Size: $15)

Agave Healing Oil Treatment: This paraben and sulfate free oil treatment from Agave contains vanilla, coconut, and baobab seed oils to help condition and moisturize tresses. It also helps boosts shine, vibrancy, and color. (Full Size: $24-40)

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara: I have only tried one other Smashbox mascara in the past and I remember the experience being a pleasant one. I am hopeful that Full Exposure will deliver on it's lengthening, volumizing, and non-smudging promises. (Full Size: $19.50)

Smashbox Full Exposure Palette: The beauty extra in my box was another Smashbox product This time it was a card containing 10 eyeshadow samples from their Full Exposure Palette. I like the neutral tones of the shadows and I am looking forward to creating a couple of eye looks with them. (Full Size: $49)
