I am officially an Ipsy bag subscriber! It was only a matter of time before I signed up for a monthly Ipsy subscription of my own. While checking out other blogs, I saw that people would receive some pretty awesome products in their bags-constantly. The great products, the affordable $10 monthly price tag, and the adorable bags themselves were all good enough reasons for me to want to start experiencing Ipsy bags for myself.
Keep reading to check out what I received in my January Ipsy bag!
Ipsy-January 2014 Contents
Yaby Liquid Foundation: I was pleasantly surprised by this liquid foundation from Yaby. It's oil free, it offers a medium-buildable coverage, it feels lightweight on, and the finish is not flat and very natural looking-it looks like your own skin. This foundation goes on nicely and it blends effortlessly. I received the shade "buff" which is just a smidgen too light for me. But I can make it work with a bit more blending. (Full Size: $13.99)
Malin + Goetz Mojito Lip Balm: This lip balm is perfection! This paraben free balm has a gel consistency that feels smooth, light and moisturizing on the lips. This lip balm replenishes dry and chapped lips really well. When I have this on, my lips feel and look heaps soft and healthier. (Full Size: $12)
Benefit The Porefessional: I have wanted to try Benefit's The Porefessional for such a long time. It get's amazing raves and it's an essential product for minimizing the look of pores and fine lines. I haven't given the Porefessional a go yet, but I have a feeling I am going to love it! (Full Size: $30)
Balanced Guru Body Balm Me Up Organic Sweet Cocoa And Tangy Body Balm: This organic body balm is infused with butters and essential oils that help moisturize skin. I apply this balm on stubborn dry areas like my elbows, knees, and heels of my feet for an intense moisture boost. The body balm has a smooth consistency that absorbs quickly and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. (Full Size: $12-45)
Absolute! Make-Up Cleansing Tissues: I always use a separate eye makeup remover to get rid of my eye makeup, but I did use these cloths for the removal of my face makeup and they did the job in a pinch. These felt refreshing, they have a yummy pomegranate scent, and I like how gentle the cloths are on my sensitive skin. (Full Size: $2.49-4.99)
Overall
I am so glad that I decided to start subscribing to Ipsy. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every item in my January bag-it was really fun discovering and trying products that were new to me, and the bag itself is a nice touch that will surely come in handy for carrying my beauty essentials on the go. I wanted to mention that the interior of my bag had a potent plastic scent to it. It's a little unpleasant so I am going to try washing it to get the scent off.
I definitely feel like I got a great value with my January Ipsy bag. Apart from the deluxe sizes, my bag contained two full sized products (Yaby liquid foundation and Malin + Goetz mojito lip balm), which I really appreciate. In all, I received about $44 worth of product in my January Ipsy bag, which totally exceeds the $10 I paid. Sweet! I can't wait to see what Ipsy has in store for February.
