Review│Too Faced Beauty Editor Darlings

I am a huge fan of curated beauty kits. It's always nice to try out a brand's assortment of offerings, without committing to the full sizes. And who knows? You may even discover some new favorites in the process. When I saw Too Faced's Beauty Editor Darlings on Apothica's website, I knew I had to give it a try. This nifty little kit contains five of Too Faced's most buzzed about items in the beauty industry, all in generous travel sizes.

Too Faced Beauty Editor Darlings-I Love How The Items Are Neatly Presented!

Too Faced-Beauty Editor Darlings

Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer, Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer

Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer: I am not surprised that this eyeshadow primer was included in the beauty editor darlings kit. Too Faced's Shadow Insurance has an unbelievable cult following, and I can see why. The creamy formula is easily spreadable on the lids, and my eyeshadows hang on for hours over this, with very minimal creasing and fading by the end of the day. A little product goes a long way, so this mini tube is sure to last me a long time.

Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer: I am always looking for products that will help minimize the appearance of the pores on my cheeks, and Too Faced's Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer does not disappoint. This lessens the look of my pores, while also smoothing out my skin. My face products just glide right on over this. This face primer goes on clear and contains Vitamins A and C, mulberry extract, and Retinol to help hydrate and firm up the skin.

Lashgasm Mascara, Lip Insurance Smoothing Anti-Feathering Lip Primer, Glamour Gloss Volumizing Lip Gloss in Sex Pot

Lashgasm Mascara: This mascara is infused with Vitamins A and E, and Jojoba Oil to help soothe and moisturize lashes. I think one of the star features of this mascara is the brush. The bristles are super flexible, so it's really easy to grab every single lash and coat it with mascara. It's also easy to achieve optimal lash separation without the clumps. Two coats of Lashgasm gives my lashes an awesome lengthening boost, as well as a lifted curl, and some definition. I even get a little volume, too. The formula of this feels lightweight on, and it doesn't make my lashes feel crunchy. I experienced no smudging or flaking throughout the day, which is pretty nice in my book.

Lip Insurance Smoothing Anti-Feathering Lip Primer: This Vitamin E enriched lip primer glides onto my lips effortlessly and contains a silky smooth texture that doesn't feel drying on my lips. Lip Insurance goes on colorless, and it sets almost right away to a matte finish. One light layer is more than enough product to coat the lips. This primer tones down the red pigment in my lips a bit; which I like because the lip colors that I apply over it pop and look more true to color. My lipsticks look smooth atop this lip primer, and they don't feather either. As for staying power, my lipsticks can hang on for about 5-6 hours before they begin to gradually and evenly fade. I have to admit, I never gave lip primers much thought in the past, but I can't seem to stop reaching for Too Faced's Lip Insurance whenever I am going for a bold lip color that requires a more thoughtful approach when it comes to application. This primer somehow makes application that much more easier, and produces amazing results to boot. I am addicted!

Glamour Gloss Volumizing Lip Gloss in Sex Pot: I love the pink mauve hue of this lip plumping gloss. It has a sweet minty fragrance, and a smooth texture that's not overly tacky. The gloss is a little sheer though, so don't expect huge color payoff. After applying this gloss, I instantly get a tingling sensation on my lips. Now, I know these sort of tingling effects are common with lip plumping glosses, but I feel like the sensation on this one went on forever! I was surprised that the tingle didn't go away sooner like it usually does with other volumizing glosses that I have tried in the past. I didn't really notice a plumping effect since my lips are already naturally full, but my lips did look shiny and smooth.

Overall
I think this kit is lovely, and such a great value. My favorite products in this set are the mascara and lip primer, which I am buying full sizes of once I am done using these up. It may be a little early for this but the Holidays are coming up, and I think this kit would be nice to keep in mind when gift shopping for your makeup loving friend or relative. Plus, since these items are miniature travel sizes, they make great stocking stuffers!
