While shopping at Forever 21 last weekend, I picked up this love & beauty eyeshadow on a whim. It was only $1.00 so, I figured it couldn't hurt to give it a try. If you are a longtime reader of my blog, then you have probably seen a few of my love & beauty reviews. For the most part, I haven't been disappointed yet when it comes to Forever 21's love & beauty line. So, did this eyeshadow impress me like the other love & beauty items? Read on to find out!

Burnished Silver is a heavily shimmered, taupe light brown eyeshadow that contains a soft hint of silver. I think this eyeshadow is quite interesting, if you ask me. The taupe and silver merge so well together, to create a beautiful and unique shade. When swatched on the back of my hand, the shadow looks almost like a semi-cool silver. But as soon as I apply this color on my lids, the warmth of taupe makes a lovely entrance.
This shadow contains a smooth texture that makes blending a cinch. The shadow has a decent amount of pigmentation but, I have to really pack on the color, to get it to show up strong. I also experienced quite a bit of fallout, during application. The shimmers were everywhere!
Longevity of this eyeshadow was not the best for me, unfortunately. Even on my primed lids, I noticed the shadow start to crease and fade within 3-4 hours. I have oily lids so for those who don't, you may have better luck than I did with lasting power. As for packaging, the plastic compact isn't the most reliable but, I am not going to complain, seeing as this product was just $1.00.
Although this eyeshadow had a few glitches, I really did enjoy the color. It compliments my brown eyes, and I will most certainly reach for this eyeshadow, when I am going for a minimal eye look.

ReplyDeleteI try to resist myself but obviously, my curiosity always gets the best of me, LOL! :) I want to try their lipsticks, though. I love lipstick so, I'm interested to see how well they fare.

I love the color of this eyeshadow, I used to have a few palettes from Love and Beauty but they were terrible quality. I need to try more of their products, this looks really pretty!
ReplyDeleteBefore, I didn't even bother taking a second look at love & beuty items because the quality didn't seem to be all that great. But I am glad I took a chance because I have found some pretty nice stuff! :)
