Mini-Haul: E.L.F.

Happy Monday Dolls!

I hope your day is off to a great start. This weekend went by super fast...don't you hate it when that happens? LOL!

Last night I stopped by my local Target store because I wanted to check out the new E.L.F. display and see what goodies they may contain. But to my utter amazement...I was not thrilled at all with the E.L.F. items my local Target had. I don't know if it was just that Target or what, but I may have to check out another Target and see if they have more selections and better items. The products I saw were just the basic E.L.F. stuff I see everywhere else. There were a lot of the $1.00 items, and from the studio line I only spotted blushes, and like maybe 2 eyeshadow choices. The eye shadows were brown shade family and I figured I have way too many dupes for them so I passed.

I ended up purchasing a pair of eyelashes, an eyeshadow brush, and a Hypershine lip gloss. Here are some pictures and swatches listed below. I am going to go to a Target by my school tomorrow and check out with what they have there. Hopefully I don't leave the store empty-handed LOL! (Click images For Enalrgment)

When it comes to E.L.F. brushes, it is either going to be a hit or a miss. The only E.L.F. brush that never disappoints me and one I can always rely on to do the job is the E.L.F. eyeshadow brush ($1.00). It never sheds on me, and it packs on shadow colors very good. Trust me when I say, you will not be disappointed with this brush. I already have an E.L.F. eyeshadow brush that I purchased years ago and to this day it still looks brand new, the bristles are STILL soft, and it does the job well. I couldn't resist buying another back up while I was at Target.

I purchased a pair of E.L.F. lashes ($1.00). The pair looks very pretty and natural and I can't wait to try them on for an upcoming look of the day post. As with all eyelashes I purchase, I don't really use the eyelash glue that comes in the package along with them. I usually use my favorite eyelash glue-Duo eyelash adhesive which can be found in drugstores.

Lastly, I purchased the E.L.F. Hypershine Lipgloss in Flirt ($1.00). Flirt is a gorgeous soft pink creamy gloss. It comes in a brush tip applicator that you have to twist it to get the product out. The first time you use this, you have to twist it about 7 to 10 times, but after that you just need to twist 2 times to get enough product out. I love brush tip applicators, I find that they make applying gloss easy while giving me a more natural look to my lips. This color gives the lips a pretty shine, while not being sticky at all...Love! The smell is a little weird though, I can't really describe it but I am not too fond of it. But no worries, the smell disappears once it's on the lips. This gloss gives my lips a tint of color to them-a my lips, but better look.

  2. I am loving the gloss as well...I may go back and pick up a few more LOL! The twist brushes can be annoying but I am a brush applicator lover, so I can deal with the twisting part :)
