I hope you are all doing so very well! I am sorry I have been MIA lately. As you all may know, school started up again and I must say it is already taking a toll on me hahaha. I know so soon! But I promise I will try to post as often as I can on weekdays. But don't fret, I will most definitely post on weekends. Thank You all for sticking with me :)
I have decided that the moment has come to review the most raved about new foundation in town. Yup, you guessed it-Revlon PhotoReady Foundation ($13.99). Before I start with the review let me just say that it was such a hassle for me trying t0 find the perfect shade! My skin tone is light but not very fair. I have some yellow/pink undertones, and the problem with me and some foundations are that they are either too pink or too orange. I first purchased the shade 005 Natural Beige. It looked like it would be a perfect match for me and when I applied it, I looked flawless (even in pictures). But unfortunately, my face was orange and did not match with my neck! Next, I purchased shade oo3 Shell which is kinda on the too light side, but seemed to not have any pink undertones to it. It was almost a perfect match, but it made me look ghostly pale. Lastly, I purchased shade 004 Nude-and what do you know? Perfect match! Not too orange and not too pink-just right :)
Ok. let's get down to business. Revlon PhotoReady foundation is Oil-free, fragrance-free, and claims to provide complete coverage and achieve "perfect airbrushed skin".
Natural Light-No Flash
Pros:
1. Feels very light on the skin. I love how I feel as if my face can breathe and my face does not feel sticky.
2. Love the pump! It allows for complete control over how much product you want out
3. I love how the foundation looks good in pictures. I have read that some people don't like how this foundation makes them look in pictures, but I think it makes my face look flawless! That is a plus in my book.
4. This foundation does not have a smell to it. I love that because some foundations have this strong chemical smell to them that I can't stand sometimes.
5. There is some shimer in this foundation. But in all honesty, I can't see it on my face. Only if I look at my face really up close. I love how the shimmer is very fine, and it gives my face a nice healthy glow to it.
6. Lasts all day for me. From putting it on first thing in the morning to when I wipe it off late at night.
7. Has not caused any breakouts. That is a miracle because my skin is very sensitive and can be easily irritated.
8. Does not make my face cakey looking, or accentuate any dry spots on my face. Make sure you moisturize well to achieve a smooth finish.
9. Contains SPF 20! Which is a nice amount
Cons:
1. Not many shades to choose from. I believe there are only 8 shades available-please correct me if I am wrong.
2. Does not give me complete coverage. I love that it gives my face a nice even finish to it, but coverage-wise, I would say it is more of a light-medium coverage foundation.
3. $13.99 is kind of steep for a drugstore foundation. But I am sure you can find many Revlon BOGO deals at certain drugstores.
Overall, I really like this foundation. I wish it had more coverage, but I love the even-glow finish it gives me.
What do you all think of this foundation? Have any of you tried it? Let me know in the comments section loves!

ReplyDeleteHey Kimmy! Thanks very much :) I am glad you love it and declared it HG material :)
ReplyDeleteLove the look of this! I even color matched myself from your swatches hehe
ReplyDeleteLOL! I am glad you found the swatches helpful :) Are you going to try this foundation?
ReplyDeleteI'm so regret that I didn't get myself 004 but 006. It's too dark for me and we don't have return policy here.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a peeve of mines when stores don't have return policies! I think they should when it comes to beauty products, such as foundations and such since they don't have any testers like Sephora and other makeup counters have. :(
