My Skincare Routine!

Hey Dolls!

I hope you are all enjoying the New Year so far...unfortunately it's kind of off to a bad start for me...but I keep trying to remind myself that not all is lost, and everything will be alright.
I realized that I have not done a skincare post in where I share with you all my favorite products to use when it comes to trying to achieve healthy skin. For starters, I want to inform you all that I have very, very sensitive, acne-scarred skin that is HIGHLY prone to breakouts. I also want to mention that I don't use a toner...I used to but I think that toners are just an extra step, and I also found it dried out my skin quite a bit. I just stick to cleansers, and moisturizers.

Here is the breakdown:

Align Center

1. Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser ($20 for 8 oz) I can't tell you how much I love this cleanser. I can honestly say that it is the cleanser that I go back to all the time. I must not stray from Purity again! This cleanser does not dry out my skin, or irritate my acne. Whenever I remove my makeup with makeup remover wipes, I follow right after with this cleanser and it removes whatever is left-even mascara, without stripping my skin from it's natural oils. 2. Olay Complete All Day Moisture Lotion ($11.99)
My HG facial moisturizer for sure! I love how this moisturizer does not leave my face greasy looking like others I have tried. I love how it just absorbs into my skin and prepares my face for a smooth, and flawless foundation application. If you want a facial moisturizer that is oil-free, contains SPF of 15 (I would have preferred a higher SPF), doesn't emphasize dry patches and does not irritate the skin, I definitely recommend this moisturizer. You won't look back. Best part is that this is available in most drugstores! Click here to read my full review of the Olay moisturizer I did a while back.

3.
Lush Ocean Salt Face And Body Scrub ($18.55-$32.95)
I think I may have found my HG face scrub. I use this scrub from Lush which contains sea salt, lime oil, and avocado butter once a week and I love how it removes all that dry and flaky dead skin. I used this scrub on dry skin and it was way too harsh. Then I realize the best way for me to use this scrub is by applying it on a damp face, and it works wonders! It also makes my face baby soft smooth and gives it a nice and brightening glow. Love it! 4. SPA Anti-Aging Eye Cream with Dead Sea Minerals ($5.99 for 1.01 oz at T.J. MAXX)
I want to let you all know beforehand that this eye cream is what I have been using at the moment, but it is not my HG as I tend to change eye creams frequently because I feel like I have not found the right one for me. I have dark under eye circles, and some fine lines (Yikes!). But I must say that this eye cream has really nice moisturizing properties. It contains dead sea salt and minerals, which is used to "increase the elasticity of the delicate skin around the eyes, and helps protect against oxidation damages". My under eyes are really smooth but I don't see this cream doing much for my fine lines. My big gripe with this eye cream is that it contains a very strong perfumed fragrance, and I would love it if it contained an SPF of some sort. I also don't like that it is in a jar-kind of unhygenic. You can bet I will keep on searching until I find the right eye cream for me, but I will continue to use this for now.

There you have it folks! My current skin care routine. What are your favorite skin care items? Any suggestions for a good eye cream? Let me know in the comments section loves :)
