Mini Haul: Sephora and NYX

Hey Dolls!

I hope you are all having a great day so far. Last night I had a lovely dinner with the hub. We went to Fridays. I ordered the Chicken and Shrimp Cajun pasta which was delicious. It was a bit spicy, but I like spicy food. You can bet I did not leave anything on the plate-it was that good! After dinner I dragged (lol) the hub to a nearby beauty supply store and to Sephora. In the Beauty Supply store I purchased all NYX products. I finally got the much-hyped about Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk! I have not tried it out yet, but I can't wait to use this as a base for my eyeshadows. I hope this helps give some of my shadows an extra pop of color.

I also got my first ever NYX lipstick in Echo, which is a nude lip color. I tried it on my lips but I think it has too much yellow in it and it looks weird with my skin tone-It's OK though, because I know I will find a way to work with it. It is a pretty nude lippie though and the consistency of this lipstick is so creamy and moisturizing. I can't wait to try more NYX lipsticks.

Lastly, I purchased NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Dolly Pink! OMG...you already know my HG hot pink lipstick is Girl About Town by MAC, and I think I have finally found the missing piece of my hot pink craze-my new HG hot pink lip gloss! Dolly Pink is a gorgeous, soft hot pink that looks amazing on it's own, but I bet it would look even more amazing applied on top of a pink lipstick. I really like the consistency of this lip gloss. It is very moisturizing, and non-sticky. Here are some pictures, and swatches:

For our last stop, we headed on over to Sephora and I bought a perfume. Ed Hardy Hearts & Daggers ($55.00-$75.00). I am not going to lie, the packaging is adorable. It is like nothing I have ever seen before. The artwork is amazing! This perfume smells so good. It smells a bit fruity, so if you happen to like fruity perfumes this would be a good one to check out next time you are at your nearby Sephora. This perfume has notes of Blood Orange, Mango, Violet Leaf, Amber, Pink Jasmine, and many other fruity wonders. At first when I sprayed this on it was way too fruity smelling and kind of strong, but once you give it a few minutes to dry down-it smells amazing. Addicting even! Also, since I am a beauty insider at Sephora, my beauty bank went over 100 points and I got 2 free samples. I picked Laura Mercier foundation primer, and I also received a sample packet of Dior HydrAction Deep Hydration Radical Serum.

Here are some pics:

Thank You all for stopping by! I hope you all enjoyed this post :)

  3. That pink lipgloss is absolutely adorable! I didn't know how well the NYX glosses were or how well people liked them, but I think I will definitely give them a try.

I have Echo lipstick and I do agree that it's a bit yellow, but I put some gloss over it to tone it down and it seems to work okay. :)

I also wanna check out the perfume, since it sounds absolutely divine, haha. Enjoy your haul!!! ♥

  4. I'm sure you can mix echo with something to tone down the yellowness. But that pink is soooo pretty! & I love when I get 100 points! Lol.
