Hey loves, I hope you had a great weekend! My weekend was so tiring-it consisted of work, work, and more work. But I am glad that I get to relax this week, and catch up on posting for this blog.
I am sure that about 99% of you have tried self-tanners. Am I right? I have tried a few, but none of them have the total package that I am looking for in a self tanner. It either gives me a nice color- but the smell is off. The smell is yummy- but it leaves me streaks. I can never be satisfied! But I think I may have found one moisturizer that kinda ,sorta does what I want it to do.
Nivea Sun-Kissed Firming Moisturizer ($7.99) is a gradual tanner that gradually gives you a sunk-kissed look. The tanner is white but applies clear. You apply it every day or as often as you feel you need to, and the more you apply it-the more sunkissed you are going to get. I find this moisturizer a bit runny, but I don't mind it because it really moisturizes my skin and dries pretty fast. I also noticed that it does not make my skin feel sticky and uncomfortable. The first time you apply it, you may not see an immediate difference, but I assure you-you will see the difference on the 2nd or 3rd day. Just make sure to apply it everyday until you get the color you desire, and every 2 or 3 days after that, to help maintain your glow. I apply this moisturizer on my legs and my arms at night after I shower, and I must admit that I really like the glow it gives me. It doesn't turn me orange. My color results look real natural and pretty. As for the skin firming factor in this moisturizer, I don't see it. I don't feel like this firms a thing...but I don't mind because I love the glow this moisturizer gives my skin.
I have the one that is formulated for light to medium skin tone because I am pale as a ghost!. The medium to dark skin tone formula is available as well. The problem I have with most self-tanners is that they color beautifully, but they stink like s*** hahaha. Even though the Ginko Extract in this tanner is pleasant, it can get to be a little "too much" some times. But I definetley prefer this smell over others I have tried in the past.
I recommend this gradual tanning moisturizer for those who want a decent smelling gradual tanner, and for those who want a quick, streak-free all over glow.
Pros:
1. Moisturizing
2. Smells Pleasant
3. The 8.4 oz bottle lasts a long time
4. Does not cause streaking
5. Readily available in drugstores
Cons:
1. No firming whatsoever
2. Does not contain SPF
3. Smell might be a little "Too Much" for some
Nivea Sun-Kissed Firming Moisturizer is available at drugstores nationwide.
