Neutrogena Radiance Boost Eye Cream

Hey Mamas!

Happy Thursday! Weekend here we come.

I hope your Thursday is going well for all of ya.

I know it's a bummer having to wake up super early having only gotten 5 hours or less of snooze time. Unfortunately, I have really bad dark circles under my eyes that won't go anywhere no matter what I do. Concealer only does so much. By my understanding, there really isn't a cure for dark circles, other than helping to reduce them by sleeping more, applying an eye cream containing Vitamin K and/or caffeine listed in the ingredients, which I hear are both fabulous at minimizing the appearance of dark circles.

I have been using Neutrogena Radiance Boost Eye Cream ($12.99) for the past year or so as my daily eye cream. I can proudly say that I have almost used up all of the cream, and the tube is nearly empty-yea I give it 2 to 3 more applications, and then done! Finito! But did I like this eye cream so much, that it will cause me to repurchase? Read on to find out!

Nautrogena Radiance Boost eye cream claims to:
1. Reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness
2. visibly brighten the eye area
3. Improve the texture of the eye

Ok, sounds good right? But in all honesty, this eye cream did not live up to the hype. At all.

I applied this eye cream everyday under my eye area, and even on my lids to moisturize the eye before concealer application. This eye cream has a very over powering smell that stays with me and won't fade away. I have to wait hours before the stuff finally begins to fade.

Sad to report this baby didn't even improve the appearance of my dark circles. Still looks the same to me. And as for reducing puffiness, I can't say anything about that claim because (thankfully!) I don't have puffiness on my eye area.

I won't fully bash this eye cream because it does have some qualities that I do like. Such as moisturizing the eye area-I like that this eye cream thoroughly moisturized my eyes and helped my concealer go on smoothly and evenly. I also loved that the cream wasn't so runny like other eye creams are. The texture was semi-thick and creamy like I like em'. I also love the squeeze out tube which makes the product hygienic, and this stuff will last you forever because a little bit goes a long way when it comes to moisturizing the eye area.

Semi-Thick and Creamy Consistencey

The one thing I would have liked to have seen in this eye cream is an SPF of some sort, to help protect the delicate eye area from the harmful rays of the sun. Also, a less overwhelming scent or no scent at all in this eye cream would have been nice.

Overall, if you want a basic eye moisturizer with a creamy and semi-thick texture, this may be a good option for you. As for me, I will not be repurchasing this eye cream as I feel there are better options out there.
