Konad Fun! Nail Of The Day

Yes! I have finally jumped on the Konad wagon, and I am never looking back! Boy, what fun it is to come up with such pretty designs on your nails. I ordered a Konad nail art kit from OC nail art. I ordered the Konad C kit (Click here to check it out) which retails for $26.99. The best part about this site is that you get free shipping with orders $20 or more! Fab! And the shipping is Amazing! No joke, I got my kit in the mail in less than 6 days!

The Konad C kit is one of the many Konad starter kits available at OC nail art. This kit contains 2 image disks in m2 and m3, 3 mini special polishes which are specifically used to stamp on the nail. The mini-special polish colors are red, white, and blue. Lastly, the kit contained a stamper and a scraper. I also ordered a full size bottle of special polish in black.

I love this kit, and I definetley recommend Konad starter kits to help you ease into the Konad world! I must say that it can be irritating at times when the image does not stick on the stamp and you have to do it over again until you get it right. Stay tuned where I will be posting a Konad tutorial pretty soon, so look out for that!

In the meantime here are some pics of the kit and a really fun and retro design I played around with...love you Konad! We are going to come up with many, fun creations together :)

Photobucket
Applied a clear base coat, Applied Sally Hansen insta-dri polish in Orange You Fast!, Used a retro flower image from plate m2 and used the special polish colors in blue and white. I just overlapped the 2 images together to give it a retro vibe. Lastly, I applied a thin layer of clear top coat.

It's not perfect, but I tried! Who cares, I love it anyways! and I hope you do too :)

Look Of The Day: Turquoise and purple look using Urban Decay Show Pony!

Hey lovelies!

Here is a really fun look of the day I came up with by using colors from the Urban Decay Show Pony eyeshadow palette.

I started by applying an eyeshadow primer. I used Urban Decay Primer Potion. I also applied the lightest shade of the E.L.F. cream eyeshadow dup in blueberry (see below for pic).I applied the color painkiller all over my lid (color A on the chart below) and I applied Flash (color B on the chart below) on the outer V and the lower lash line. Made sure to blend well, and I then used Urban Decay's Glide on 24/7 pencil eyeliner in Zero to apply it on my waterline and to tight line on my upper water line. For a highlight color, I used NYX eyeshadow in highlight. I finished the eye off by applying a brown/black mascara. I used L'oreal Extra Volume Collagen mascara.

For the face, I used Bare Minerals foundation in light-buffed it all over my face with a kabuki brush. And I wanted a nice soft pink cheek. So I used Bare Escentuals blush in Cheerful.

Lastly, for the lips I wanted to keep it simple so I used a nude lip color. I applied MAC's Creme' D Nude.

Here are some pics of the look (WARNING: Pic Heavy!!!!) Enjoy loves.

Lush: Fresh Farmacy Face Soap and Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub

I have always had this itch to try Lush products. I always read great reviews on their products. Lush is a company that gives us great skincare items, and bath items that are all-natural and free of preservatives. I stopped by my nearest Lush store last weekend and I was immediately taken aback by the smell. I have to admit, when you first enter the place the smell of all those natural and organic products can be a bit overwhelming. But I got used to it and I was determined to look around and see all the greatness Lush products have to offer.

I went in the store and I was immedietley greeted by a lovley sales associate. I told her I have never tried any Lush products and she offered to give me a little tour. She sampled many cleansers, scrubs. soaps, and she even showed me how to use their famous bath balms. She dropped one in a pail full of water and the ball immedietley bubbled up. It was quite fascinating I must say. I left the store with Fresh Farmacy Face Soap, and Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub.

I have not been using these products for long. But I must say I am really loving them both so far. Although I do find the price tag a bit hefty for both the fresh farmacy and the ocean salt scrub (Fresh Farmacy cost me $9.65 (0.245lb), and ocean salt scrub cost me $18.60 (4.2 oz).

Photobucket
Lush bag-isnt it cute!

Photobucket
Fresh Farmacy Face Soap-They cut it in a heart shape, how adorbs! (FYI, Some items in Lush are bought by piece. Such as, how much of a piece you want to buy. And price depends on the weight as well. I asked for half of a whole piece, which weighed 0.245lb and it cost me $9.65. It costs $39.40/lb. I hope that made sense haha).

Fresh Farmacy Face Soap contains Chamomile, Lavender, and Tea Tree in Calmine Powder. The SA at lush told me that this cleanser is great for those who have sensitive and acne-prone skin. This cleanser is also leaves a matte finish to the skin, so it is great for oily gal's. And dont worry, it's not a "hey look at my dry skin" kind of matte, its like a nice finish matte. So I immedietley got it. I have used it a few times and man does this thing leave my skin soft! Like baby smooth soft-no lie. And I have not broken out from this at all, so I am pretty sure this cleanser is reacting well with my skin. I also love that it does not dry out my skin, and you only need a little tiny bit to wash your whole face. I just cut a tiny piece and put the rest back in the wrapping packaging, and I apply the little piece of Fresh Farmacy to my wet face and massage it in. The only thing I am not crazy about is the smell of the cleanser, I cant exaclty describe the smell, but it is kind of like a herbal smell. But it is definetley tolerable. I would definetley buy this cleanser again. It's really nice for my skin.

Ocean Salt Scrub-look at the pretty blue color

Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub contains lime, coconut, grapefruit, and sea salt. I love the smell of this scrub, You definetley smell the lime. And I love the blue color of it! According to the Lush website, sea salt is great for toning, and refreshing the skin. I have only used this scrub about 3 times. And so far it's really nice. Again, this face srub leaves my skin so soft. Are all Lush products like this? That they leave your skin so soft? Wow! I apply this scrub on my damp face, and massage it into my skin for a minute. I love how this scrub leaves my skin. It leaves my skin soft, my pores seem less visible, and the blackheads on my nose seem less "out there". The only complaint that I have about this scrub is that I find the granules of this scrub a little harsh on my skin. I would have preffered the sea salt to be a little more refined and smaller and gentler. But it's all good! I like it anyways, and I would definetley repurchase in the future.

Note: Most of Lush's products have a certain lifespan, since they are all-natural and organic products. The Fresh Farmacy Face Soap is good for about 1 year, and the Ocean Salt Scrub is also good for 1 years use. Make sure to always aska Lush SA for the product's life-span.

Have any of you all tried any Lush products? What are your favorites? Any you reccomend? Let me know in the comments section lovlies!

Disclosure: I purchased both the Fresh Farmacy Face Soap, and the Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub at a Lush Store here in New York City.

Haul! Boots, Jeans, and E.L.F.

Happy Saturday Senoritas and Senoritos!

Any exciting plans? My weekend is going to be spent studying for an Accounting midterm that I am going to be having on Wednesday. Wish me luck loves :)

Anyhoo, I did a little shopping a few days ago and I got some pretty neat stuff.

I was really craving some over-the knee boots, and I figured that I would never find a pair because most of the boots these days are pull-ons and the problem with me is that my calves are really thick (thick and fab!) and most of the pull-on boots dont go past them, so I gave up hope. Until...I stopped by my local famous footwear store (which is an awesome store by the way) and I spotted these amazing faux-suade over-the knee boots by Fergie's shoe brand-Fergalicious. Famous Footwear was having discounts on boots upto 50% (I think they are still having it, I am not sure) and originally the boots were $80, but with the discount they came up to $54.99! What a steal. These boots are amazing. Not only are they comfy, but they have a zipper which makes it so easy for me to put them on and they fit over my calves! YAY! They are spacious over-the knee and it looks very flattering. I also love the bow tie in the back. These boots look so chick and fashionable. I wore them with leggings yesterday and a dress and it was adorable. These boots look amazing with jeans as well. I am definitley going to rock these boots a lot this winter. Here is the link to these boots, from the famous footwear website. Click here to be directed.

I also stopped by American Eagle and snagged up these cute skinny jeans for only $30!

Lastly, I stopped by a beauty supply store and picked up 2 E.L.F. products. I got a defining eye brush, and a cream eyeshadow duo in Blueberry. I cant wait to do looks with it!

Beauty Crave: Sephora Friends and Family Discount!

Hey Loves! I hope you all have had a great day. Here is another installment of Beauty Crave. All of these items I mention are from Sephora and I am sure that you all know that Sephora is doing its famous friends and family discount sale of 20% off. Just enter code FF2009 at checkout, and this offer is good from Octpber 19 2009 until November 2, 2009. This offer is only good for online shopping, so get to filling up those shopping carts and start shoppin' chicas! If any of you ordered any Sephora goodies, I wanna know what you got! Share in the comments.

How adorbs is this Bare Escentuals eye set? This totally screams Holidays to me! I can definitely see this trio of gorgeous eye shadows looking great all through fall and the coming winter months. And they would make the cutest gifts!
This set includes 3 shimmery loose eye shadows in Extreme Pyrite, Extreme Malachite, and Extreme Perlite. It also includes a mini-Prime time eyelid primer and a mini Extreme Glimmer eye brush. I say this is a pretty good deal for $32.00.

Yes, Urban Decay has done it again! They have added nail polish to their line ( I think they had nail polishes before, and they are bringing back out again with this set. I am not sure. Correct me if I am wrong please) and these babies are screaming my name. 7 nail polishes for $26.00? That sweetens the pot even more. Look at all the pretty colors too. I am really loving Grunge (metallic peacock). I bet it would look fab!

Yum! I love Egg Nog for the holidays. I bet this amazing 3 in 1 from Philosophy smells just like it, making sure to bring back sweet holiday memories.

What a smart idea this is...but it is nothing we haven't heard before. This is the first time I see a company come out with a shadow shield though. I bet it would be great at preventing raccoon eyes. How many of us have had that problem? (raises hand!) This shield prevents eye shadow fallout, and it is hands-free.

We can all use a little help in the teeth-whitening department these days. And what better way to handle the problem with something portable that can be taken everywhere with you! It is a brush tip pen that (according to the Sephora website) whitens teeth up to 8 shades! Whoa...I gotta see it to believe it. It sounds too good to be true. But you will never know until you try it, and the customer reviews at Sephora.com are pretty good for this product-it got over 4 stars! This teeth whitening pen is formulated without harsh ingredients that may be harmful to your teeth such as parabens, no synthetic dyes, sulfates, petrochemicals, and many other ingredients we ain't cool with.

Have any of you tried any of the products I mentioned above or, are planning on trying them out? Let me know in the comments section loves!

Favorites!

Photobucket

Ok, it seems like everybody is jumping on the monthly favorites band wagon and I want to join in on the fun too! hahaha.

Photobucket

Anyhoo, here are my October favorites. Enjoy! And let me know if any of you have used the products I mention, I would love to know!

Photobucket

Yall' know I cant live without my HG pink lipstick-MAC's Girl About Town. I swear I can rock this lip color with anything!

Photobucket

I think i have finally found my HG under eye concealer. I have been using MAC Studio Finish concealer and I really like it so far. It provides my really, really dark under eye area with a pretty descent amount of coverage. It is creamy, and not cakey looking at all (at least to me, just make sure you moisturize your eye area well so the concealer can glide on smoothly). I have learned that nothing will ever truly cover my under eye circles unless I become a pro at photo shopping...but that will never happen. Overall, I am quite content with this concealer and I am planning to buy another one as soon as I am finished with this pot. And did I mention it has SPF of 35? Love it!

Photobucket

I have been loving this little gem. Bath and Body Works P.S. I Love You body lotion smells so good! The smell is sort of calming to me and not over-powering at all. I take it everywhere with me, because the cute and tiny bottle is very travel friendly and fits into any purse. Love! Thanks to Susie for introducing this wonderful lotiony goodness to me.

Photobucket

I have been using this amazing foundation from the American Beauty line sold at Kohls. It is called Ultimate Diamond Luminous Mineral Makeup SPF 15. I love this foundation so far because it gives me a great amount of coverage and the best part is that it has not broken me out. If any of you are interested, you can learn more about this foundation by going to the Kohls website. Click here to be directed. I will give a more thorough review of this foundation soon, so look out for that.

Photobucket

Also from American Beauty sold at Kohls is this amazing rose scented perfume. It is the Beloved Red Rose Perfume Spray. It smells so delicious and this fragrance is perfect for those coming winter date nights :) You better believe I rock this perfume when I have date nights with the hub. This scent may be a little strong for some, but I personally like stronger scents in the colder winter months. Click here to be directed to the Kohls website to learn more about this perfume.

Ok, your turn. What are some of your October favorites? Let me know in the comments section!
