Urban Decay Primer Potion Rave (and story about how I came to love this HG primer)

Ok loves, I am sure you are all very familiar with the famous Urban Decay Primer Potion...but I just wanted to be among those who raves about how fab this primer is. Urban Decay Primer Potion does wonders for oily eye lids by helping eye shadows last longer without creasing, and it also makes eyeshadows appear more vibrant and true to color.

My eyelids are very oily. Before I even knew about this primer potion I would always apply concealer on my eyelids to help my shadows stick...but unfortunately, that would never work because my lids always decided to let the oils return-making my shadows crease and fade away by mid day. I had always seen beauty videos on youtube and I would notice that in many eyeshadow application tutorials, they would always start off by applying a primer. Yes, I always noticed that magic little purple bottle with the wand sponge-tip applicator wand-and I realized that I had to try this product that many raved about and swore by.

I took a stroll by my local Sephora store and then I spotted it...the famous purple bottle. I admit I was a little taken aback at the $17.00 price tag for this stuff. Hey, I wasn't a big spender on makeup at the time, and I always stuck to drugstore makeup. It was until later that I realized that as long as the product works for you and you are happy with the product, the price tag does not matter. Anyway, I purchased the Urban Decay Primer Potion and immediately when I got home I had to test drive this baby.

I applied the primer with a quick thin swipe of the wand, and I blended it all over my lid. I immediately felt my lids were matte and it also didn't hurt that the primer helped out a bit in the lid discoloration department. I applied some eyeshadow and I was amazed at how bright and true the colors came out to be. When I would apply eyeshadows without a primer, my eyeshadow colors would gove me so much fall out, and the colors would "dull up" on me. But with the Urban Decay Primer Potion this was not the case. I was even more amazed at how long the shadows lasted on me. I applied the eyeshadow in the morning, and at night it looked pretty good. The shadows were still in tact but they did fade a bit, but what shadow doesn't after a long tiring day? I also loved how my eyelids were kept oil-free all day. I immediately fell in love with this primer, and I knew it would be my "best friend".

My only gripe about this primer is the packaging. Unfortunatley, a lot of product is wasted if you dont disect the package and transferring the remaining contents to a sample jar. What I did was I cut the bottle into 3 pieces (when doing this please be careful!) and I scooped out all the remaining product...boy was there a lot. Then I transfereed the rest of the primer into a little sample jar that I had lying around.

Overall, I love this primer and I can never apply my eyeshadows without it. It is a staple in my makeup kit and I am really happy that I met this primer potion. I have only tried one eyeshadow primer in the past, but it didn't wow me like UDPP did.

If any of you have not tried this primer already, please give it a whirl! What are your favorite eyeshadow primers? Share in the comments section below.

Urban Decay Primer Potion is available at Sephora stores, and www.sephora.com, and it retails for $17.00

Here are a few pictures of the comparison between eyeshadow applied by itself and eyshadow applied with the Urban Decay Primer Potion. I also included pictures of how I store my Urban Decay Primer Potion into a little sample jar.

My toes painted with "Orange You Cute?" without the flash

I just wanted to share with you all my toes and the color I painted them. It's so pretty :) I used Sally Hansen's Salon Nail Lacquer in the shade "orange you cute?" The color is sort of in between a coral and a bright pink, but it leans more towards the pink side in my opinion.
I love how the polish applies, it is very smooth and it does not leave behind any air bubbles whatsoever. Amazing! I also love the containment of the no-slip grip handle, which will make it easier to open the nail polish in the future if it ever decides to get stuck on me...I hate when that happens because I always end up using my teeth to grip the darn thing open hahaha.

Sally Hansen Salon Nail Lacquer is available in drugstores for $6.49 or even less when they are on sale.

Happy polishing!

New Product Alert: Bare Escentuals Bareminerals spf 15 Matte Foundation

Hola Loves! I hope your weekend is going well so far. It is a beautiful Saturday afternoon here in NYC and the weather is to die for! It really feels like summer now, because latley we have been having really muggy and rainy days here in New York. Anyway... I had to share this new product from Bare Escentuals with you all. It's the new Bare Escentuals Bareminerals spf 15 Matte Foundation. I am really excited about trying this foundation because, although I do like to use their original bareminerals foundation, I am not too crazy about the lasting power of it or how oily my skin gets 2 hours later. I do like the finish bareminerals gives my face, which consists of a nice all-over glow and the lightness of the product (which is great for those days when I don't feel like wearing a whole ton of makeup on my face).
I am really interested in this new foundation because based on the product description on the Sephora website: "bareMinerals Matte SPF 15 Foundation absorbs excess oil and eliminates shine without drying your skin. It dramatically improves the appearance of your skin through the clinically proven power of RareMinerals ActiveSoil Complex, which minimizes pores and promotes cell turnover for fresher, smoother skin, while protecting your skin from environmental damage. This groundbreaking formula is made with only the purest, highest-quality ingredients and is free of harsh chemicals and preservatives." The rareMinerals Activesoil complex sounds like it does wonders for the skin.

The Packaging of the foundation looks really great as well. Unlike the original bareminerals which gets the product everywhere...and I do mean everywhere! The packaging of the bareminerals matte contains a lock where it will prevent spills and messes from happening, making it great for travel.

When I get my hands on this product loves, I will let you know how well it performs.

Bare Escentuals Bareminerals spf 15 Matte Foundation is available at Sephora stores and the Sephora website, and it retails for $28.00

Happy Saturday!

Product Rave: Gillette Venus Tropical Disposable Razors

Hey Loves! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. We are officially in summer mode-meaning shaving mode!
What if I told you all that you can shave with a razor that smells good all the time? Yes it's possible. With the Gillete Venus Tropical disposable razors. The razors come in a pack of three, and the razor handles have these fun bright colors to them that have a fantastic fruity tropical scent to them. The scent really lasts and lasts, because I have been using one razor for about a month now and the scent on the razor handle is still there! It has not faded at all one bit. I dont know how they do it, it is amazing. I can honestly say that I really love them and these will definetley be a summer staple for me! My only gripe about these razors is that they contain three blades, I wish it came with 5 blades like the Venus embrace. But it's not much of a problem because I still get that close shave that I always get with Venus razors.

Venus Tropical disposable razors are available at any drugstore for $10.00.

Happy Shaving!

Product Review: Heavenly Body Glimmering Moisture Mist from Victoria's Secret

Hey Loves! I hope you are all ready for the weekend as much as I am. Boy has the weather been yucky and rainy here in New York. Which makes me just want July to come so I can enjoy the beautiful sunny warm weather in Cancun. In other news...have any of you all taken advantage of the Victoria's Secret Semi-Anual Sale going on? My goodness, I went in the store and I saw really cute bras for $25.00, and underwear for $3.99! But I was mostly eyeing on the lotions and body products. The sales on those were incredible! upto 50% to 75% off! As much as I would have loved to stock up, I didnt really buy much...actually I ended up leaving the store with one item. And that item was the Heavenly Body Glimmering Moisture Mist. I got it on sale for only $5.00! What a bargain from the original $20.00 price tag.

This mist comes in a spary bottle and you get a lot of product for the price. 8.8oz...not bad. What drew me to this mist was the product description which says "an everyday halo of shimmer for sexy, angel-smooth skin" I love shimmer on my body for the summertime and I love smooth glowing skin...who doesn't? I sprayed this on my hand in the store to give it a test drive and my skin was soft, and it had a hint of shimmer to it...but not overley done-making this product a nice option for those who are not very fond of shimmer on their body. I also loved the fact that it moisturizes my skin without leaving me with that greasy feeling, and this stuff dries super fast. I hold the spray can a few inches away from the area, and just spray on my arms, legs, and anywhere I want a hint of shimmer and I am left with moisturized skin that glows and smells great.
The mist contains great skin-friendly moisturizing ingredients such as Jojoba seed oil, and Honey extract. The smell is divine! It sort of reminds me of the Victoria's Secret Dream Angels Heavenly Angel Mist.

If you can get your hands on this mist loves, please do so before the sale ends-I know I will be going back and try to find a back up of this just in case it is being discontinued and I will also look for some other goodies. If any of you have tried and tested this mist, please leave your thoughts and feelings about this product in the comments section :)

Have a great Friday!

Feet Loving Time with Avon Foot Works Tropical Coconut sea salt foot scrub and foot lotion

Photobucket

It is that time of the year loves! Where we have to start paying extra special attention to our feet and their appearance-yup you guessed it...it's sandal season!
I admitt that I have not been paying attention to my feet, and not getting pedicures every 2 weeks. But with these economic times going on, who can cash out $20.00 every two weeks! I always believed that people can do things just as well at home, without having to spend money.

I am a big fan of doing pedicures at home on myself...eventhough I gotta step my game up and get with it! I want to let you all know about my new pedicure products from Avon. It is from the Foot Works line and it includes the tropical coconut sea salt foot scrub and the tropical coconut foot lotion. The scent is to die for! I really love coconut scents and these products are right up my alley.

Tropical Coconut Sea Salt Scrub:
This foot scrub smells divine right out of the bottle. The scrub is feels really nice on my feet. And I love that the scrub is really creamy and the beads are not rough, they are just right and relaxing. I massage the scrub on my damp feet concentrating on my heels, and this really takes away all my dry and rough skin cells and leaves my feet really soft.
The foot scrub contains coconut and sea kelp which helps energize feet and keep them moisturized. It also contains sea salt and natural sand to take away the rough and dry skin. I love this foor scrub. This is definetley my staple for a pedicure.

Tropical Coconut Foot Lotion:
I apply this foot lotion when I finish scrubbing and when I dry my feet. This lotion is very soothing on my feet and I feel like my pedicure is complete after I apply this lotion. The lotion conditions the feet with the "moisturizing mix of coconut and and sea kelp" and it also "cools and soothes hot, tired feet". All of this sounds like heaven! And my feet definetley feel soothed and sandal ready.

Get pedicure ready with this foot scrub and foot lotion, your lovely feet will thank you all for it.

Foot Works Tropical Coconut Foot Lotion and Tropical Coconut sea salt foot scrub is available through an Avon representative and on www.avon.com The lotion retails for $4.99 and the foot scrub retails for $3.99

Men's Essentials: Jack Black Cool Moisture Body Lotion

Photobucket
note: please excuse the video games all over...I took this picture by my boyfriend's window and he is a huge video game lover:)

Hey all! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I am writing now from my boyfriends apartment and I spotted the Jack Black Cool Moisture Body Lotion that I bought for him in Sephora awhile back ago. My boyfriend has dry skin and he needed a little lotion lovin' in his life. Jonathan (my boyfriend) likes to keep things simple-he is the type who will skip lotion and just spray his cologne and go! But I want him to realize that men need to take care of themselves, just as much as women do.
We were at Sephora and we went to the men's section and we spotted the Jack Black Body Lotion and when he smelled it he really liked it. So being the sweet, loving, girlfriend that I am (HA!) I offered to get it for him.
What I love about this body lotion is that it has great ingredients to really moisturize the skin. It contains Soy Protein, Vitamin E, and Jojoba.

According to the information on the bottle-Soy Protein is used to "deeply moisturize and hydrate dry, damaged skin cells", Vitamin E is used to "help smooth and soften dry body skin", and Jojoba "penetrates below the skin surface to keep skin supple and hydrated". This lotion also helps soothe redness-which Jonathan has. After Jonathan applies the soothing lotion to his arms, his skin feels really cool and hydrated. The smell is pretty good too. I can't really describe it but it is a smell that men will enjoy. This lotion is not greasy, doesn't feel sticky, and the best part is that it is dermatologist-tested, meaning that even the most sensitive skin types can use this. And may I add that I love the huge 16oz pump bottle the lotion comes in? I am trying to get my Jonathan to try more of Jack Black's products in his line...wish me luck!

Go get that special man in your life some of this lotion ladies...they will thank you for it.

Jack Black Cool Moisture Body Lotion is Available in Sephora stores and www.sephora.com and it retails for $22.00. Find it here.

Here is Jonathan and I happy that he is all lotioned up! hahaha.

Haul: Personi Beauty Collection

Hey loves, I woke up today and to my surprise I had a package waiting for me from Beauty Choice. Last week I had ordered the Personi Beauty Collection for $50.00. It may seem pricey but, you get a lot of items for that price. And I must say that I am impressed with every item so far.
The set contained an eyeshadow and lip palette, a mascara, liquid eyeliner, an eyelash curler, and a set of 5 brushes...great deal huh? You can purchase the set here.

Here are pictures of the products and my feeling towards each of them. I will be doing looks using the whole collection soon, so please stay tuned!

The Cover of both lip and eyeshadow palettes. The lid is so cute! It has really pretty shiny pink flowers on it.

Photobucket

The eyeshadows are gorgeous! I swatched them and all the colors are very pigmented and wearable. I especially love the hot pink, its gorgeouos! I can't wait to come up with looks using these.

Eyeshadow Palette Without Flash:

The Lip Palette is awesome! The colors are really niceley pigmented. They add a nice tint to the lips. I love that the palette includes a moisturizing lip balm that is applied under the lip colors. I also love the fact that the lip colors each contain Vitamin E and Aloe Vera which is very moisturizing for my lips. I have really dry lips and surprisingly, these lip colors did not dry out my lips or emphasize the dryness...amazing! They also feel smooth and make my lips look smooth.

Lipstick Palette Without Flash:

The liquid eyeliner is very nice. The color is very true black and it is waterproof. The application was very easy for me. The applicatior wand is a brush tip and it's very easy to control it. I have been wearing this eyeliner for about 7 hours now, and boy does it last! It has not budged so far.

The Mascara is amazing. It is water Resistant and I love the brush and the smell! Most mascara have this odd chemical smell to them, but this mascara smells like Vanilla...no joke! And the mascara brush is very flexible which is amazing. I find the mascara to really lenghtne my lashes and give them lots of volume. Best of all, no clumping and no flakes/fallout! hmmm, I think my Cover Girl Lashblast may have some competition.

The eyelash curler is so cute and so easy to use. I have never used an eyelash curler like this, but it makes curling lashes really simple and the results are amazing. Lovely curled lashes in an instant!

The 5 brushed the set came with included an eyebrow brush/comb, a sponge tip eyeshadow applicator, a powder/blush brush, a lip brush, and an eyeliner brush. I have not tested out performance of the brushes but I have a feeling that they will perform niceley and I am sure these brushes are great for travel.

Have any of you tried this set? I really love the personi makeup collection, and I am definetley taking these items with me for my trip to Cancun next month. If any of you have any questions or comments please leave them in the comments section below.

Have a good one loves!

Product Review: Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque

Photobucket

image-via Google.com

Everybody wants nice clear skin, and therefore, we all invest in products that we hope will solve all our skin issues and cast those imperfections away. I have never used a masque before and I decided that I wanted to test out just how well masques perform and what benefits they would bring to my skin without spending a hefty price tag. I always read people rave about the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque and I decided to give it a whirl.

My skin is oily, dry and acne-prone. My biggest pet peeve about my skin are the blackheads on my nose...boy are they gross! Imagine my excitement when I read on the Mint Julep bottle that the masque "helps dry up acne pimples, rinse away blackheads, and shrink enlarged pores". All sounds good huh? it also says that, the masque draws out impurities from the pores as it hardens. Mint Julep is also a "refreshing facial treatment that helps relax tires muscles and ease tension lines on the face and neck."

I applied the mask to a dry face, and I made sure to spread it all around my face. The smell of the mask is not overpowering to me, it actually smells like mint and when I put it on my face, it felt very cool and refreshing. I left the mask on for 15 minutes and sure enough it had hardened. I rinsed off the mask with warm water and patted my face dry.
My face felt really soft afterwords, and my pores and blackheads really did shrink! I was very amazed. I don't think this masque has done anything to help out with my acne, so I can not comment about that effect. The disappointment I have with this product is that while it removes my blackhead and shrinks my pores, it does not keep my blackheads at bay. The blackheads would return after about 2 days. I use this mask about once a week. I don't want to use it more than that because I don't want my face to dry up too much.

Overall, I think this masque is just average for me. While it does make my face soft and temporarily takes away my blackheads and shrinks my pores a bit, I believe that there are better masques out there that I have yet to try! I recommend this masque for all skin types. It is a nice and relaxing treatment for the face...we can all use any form of relaxation these days. :)

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque is readily available in any drugstore for about $3.99, and it comes in an 8 oz squeeze tube.

Happy Masking loves!

Product Rave: Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Enhancing Mousse

Hey loves, as you all may know My hair is a big giant frizzball! But I do like to enhance my curls and make my hair somewhat pretty! hahaha. I am a fan of Mousse. I have tried many different brands of mousse-but sadly, they either flake on me, or they just dont hold my curls and causes my hair to frizz up again. But that happens no more because I have found my trusty Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Enhancing Mousse! Read on to find out why I love it so much, and what it does for my curls.

Product Claim:
"I'll keep humidity out of your hair and give curls and waves a lush boost. The twist? I make your hair shiny and springy with my weightless formula fused with kavender and jade extracts."

Directions:
"shake me, foam me, work me through wet hair. Use a 'finger style' diffuser and low hair dryer heat.look. but don't touch. touching your hair creates frizz."

Thoughts/Feelings:
I love the catchy explanations and directions the packaging has. It's as if the mousse bottle is actually having a conversation with you and telling you what to do with it. I apply mousse to sections of my hair, then I take my hair dryer, set it on low heat, and dry my hair while at the same time scrunching it a bit. After I have reached the desired dryness of my hair, I finish the look off by spraying my hair with a bit of hairspray and that sets my curls in place for the day.
This mousse smells really great-I give the credit to the lavender extract. The smell lingers through my hair for a bit, but it will eventually fade throughout the day. Unfortunatley, many hair products do flake on me but thankfully this mousse doesn't at all. The mousse controls my frizz (not completley, but what product does?), it does not make my hair feel sticky, weighed down or dry which is great because I don't like the feeling of a lot of product in my hair.

Try yourself some of this mousse curly hair beauties. Get Twisted!

Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Enhancing Mousse is available at any drugstore for $4.99.

Fashion Show And Tell: Forever 21

Hey loves, I hope all is well :)

Here is the beggining of Fashion Show And Tell installments, where I will be showing you all my great fashion finds.

I wanted to share with you all some really cute dresses that I recentley purchased from Forever 21. I love shopping in Forever 21 because they have really adorable and fashionable clothing for great low prices. I purchased these 4 dresses for my trip to Cancun and I love them! They are all comfortable, cute, and they flatter my body beautifully. I tend to stay away from tight dresses, because I do not find clothing that clings to my stomach area very flattering on me. So, I tend to lean towards flowy dresses.
Here are some pictures of the dresses. You can find these dresses at your local Forever 21 store, or you can purchase them at www.Forever21.com.

My Tips on Preventing ACNE!

Hey loves, I know Acne is a pain in the behind to have...believe me I have been there. Here are a few tricks and tips that I have used to help me with my acne...well, I also have my fabulous dermatologist to thank! But, for those who cant see a dermatologist, here are a few of my suggestions to help with acne.

1. The most important thing to remember is to DRINK LOTS OF WATER. Water helps keep your skin healthy and hydrated.

2. Try an acne treatment system. A good one that I really love is called Acne Free. Acne Free is a 3 step system that includes a cleanser, a toner-to clean all your gunk off your face like makeup and dirt, and lotion. The best part of this system is that is has Benzoyl Peroxide...which helps with acne. You can find Acne Free in any drugstore like CVS, Duane Reade, etc... for $20.00. Good deal huh?...I haven't tried other acne systems such as pro-active or Neutrogena...but use whatever works for you...and when you start using acne products and your skin freaks out and you feel like you may be experiencing more pimples and such, that's just your skin's way of reacting to the product...its like detoxifying your face from all the gunk inside...it takes the body about 30 days to get used to a product or a new skin care regimen. Dont judge a product so soon, give it time and the results will be fantastic. It will be worth the wait, even though you may become impatient.

3. Always moisturize. Every day in the morning or whenever you go out. Use an oil free moisturizer that contains at least an SPF of 15 or 30 to protect your skin from the sun's harmful UVB and UVA rays. A good moisturizer that I love is Olay Complete All Day Moisture Lotion SPF 15. It is a light moisturizer that is oil free, fragrance free, and its for sensitive skin. You can find Olay moisturizer in any drugstore for $10.00.

4. When purchasing makeup, make sure that your foundation is oil-free so it won't clog your pores. A good oil-free foundation that I love and I think would be very helpful for acne prone skin is ,Tarte-Smooth Operator SPF 20 foundation which can be found at Sephora Stores for $35.00-kinda steep but worth it and gentle on your skin because it does not contain any harsh ingredients. This foundation contains antioxidants, vitamins A,C,E, Ginseng. It is also very moisturizing and hydrating.

Mineral makeup is also a great option because it not only covers your scarring and blemishes, its really gentle on your skin-a good mineral foundation that I love is Bare Minerals powder foundation with SPF 15, which can also be found at Sephora for $25.00...a little steep again but a little goes a long way so this stuff will last you forever.

5. Always remove your makeup at night and cleanse your face with a good face wash (cleanser, scrub, etc...)

6. As for acne scarring, there are drugstore products that "claim" to help fade scars...I haven't tried any, but I encourage you to try things out and find what works for you...its all about trial and run. I suggest going to a drugstore to look for some acne scar fade creams. Also, it would help if you would apply a mask, or a gentle at home peel to help brighten up some of the scars and help remove dead skin cells to introduce fresh clean layers of skin. A popular peel that has been much raved about is Philosophy's The Microdelivery Peel. It is a kit that can be purchased at Sephora or Sephora.com for $65.00. The peel contains Vitamin C, and it helps to exfoliate the skin, while replenishing it at the same time.

I hope these tips were helpful Loves :)

Product Rave: Garnier Nutritioniste Oil-Free detoxifying wet cleansing towelettes

image via Google.com

Hey loves! The weekend is here woo hoo!!!! For my weekend, I will be spending it shopping on my nessecities for my trip to Cancun! I am super excited, I cant wait. I will be leaving at the start of July for 5 days. Unfortunatley, I dont get the chance to travel much, so I am very excited about this opportunity. Moving on...

As you all may know, removing makeup before bed is a MUST! It is not really good for your skin if you sleep with your makeup on. The pores get clogged-giving acne and blackheads a reason to pop uo when you least expect it...no fun. Before bed, after a long day I always remove all my makeup with my trusty handy Garnier Nutritioniste Oil-Free detoxifying wet cleansing towelettes-whew! that was a lot of words for one product. I have been using this product for almost 2 years now, and it is safe for me to say that they are da' bomb! These towelettes smell really good because they contain Green Leaf and grape Extract. My skin is very sensitive and it freaks out if anything unwelcomed comes near it. But luckily, these cloths are very gentle on my skin. these towels remove all of my akeup and make my face smell really good! After removing my face feels a bit sticky afterwards, but the stickiness goes away after 5 minuts or so. What I do realize is that my face is left with a glow and refreshed feel to it, I love it!

The product contains Vitamin E and Grape Fruit Extract which are "anti-oxidants to help detoxify" the skin. It contains Vitamin B5 which is used to provide skin with moisture and to prevent overdrying of the skin. And last but not least it contains Green Leaf Extract which is used to soothe and refresh the skin. All of these active ingredients sound like they do wonders for the skin-and they really do. Also the best part is that they are Oil-Free, allergy tested, and dermatologist tested meaning its safe to use for acne-prone and sensitive skin types.

I recommend you all go get yo'self some of these towelettes loves, I am sure your face will thank you all for it. You can find this product which comes in a pack of 25 towelettes, in any drugstore for $6.99...great price for beauties on a budget!

Makeup Brush Series: 5 Must Have eye brushes

Photobucket

Hey Loves, I decided to create this makeup brush series in which I let you all in on my favorite must have makeup brushes. The series will consist of two parts: Favorite eye brushes, and favorite face brushes. I hope you all find these makeup brush series helpful and very informative. Makeup brushes are really the all-stars when it comes to great makeup application and I believe they deserve a shout out!

1. Must have eyeshadow brush: E.L.F. eyeshadow brush
Photobucket

The E.L.F. eyeshadow brush is my favorite eyeshadow brush ever! The brush picks up a great amount of color and applies the eyeshadow so easily and smoothly. What really amazes me is that when I wash this brush, it never sheds or turns scratchy on me. It stays soft and keeps its shape really well. And for only $1.00, the price can't be beat. This is an amazing high quality eyeshadow brush with a great price tag to go along with it.

2. Must have crease brush: Sonia Kashuk large crease brush
Photobucket

I have never tried any sonia kashuk brushes. But I always hear great raves over them. I was at my local target one day and I decided that this crease brush was going to be my first sonia kashuk purchase. when I saw this brush, I immedietley thought of the limeted edition MAC 226 brush which was a crease brush from the Brunette blonde redhead collection. The brush came to be very hyped about and I sadly missed out on it. When I saw the Sonia Kashuk brush, I thought that it looked a bit similar to the 226 brush because it had that tapered point like the 226 did which would make for a great precise crease color applicaton. I love this brush, it realy makes applying my crease colors really simple and it blends the colors really beautifully and effortlesley. I purchased this brush at Target for about $7.00

3. Must have eyeliner brush: Avon eyeliner brush
Photobucket

I saw this eyeliner brush in an avon catalog that my sister brought me (she is an Avon representatice) and I saw it was on sale for $1.99. I decided hey why not try it out because I have a really hard time finding good eyeliner brushes that help me better my eyeliner application. To this day I still have a hard time perfecting my eyeliner application but I think all of that has come to an end! This eyeliner brush is angled and its small which I like because it gives me control over how I apply my eyeliner. before it used to take me 5 minutes to apply eyeliner, but now with this amazing little brush, it takes me no more than 1 minute! I definetley recommend this brush for those who have trouble applying eyeliner, and those who use gel eyeliners or cream eyeliners because you get a great precise line all the time and it is really super easy to create a winged out fool-proof eye.

4. Must Have double ended versatile Eye Brush: Essence of Beauty Smokey-Wide
Photobucket

I got this brush at my local CVS drugstore for a little under $10.00 and I love that it is double ended. One end contains a big ended eyeshadow brush which is a bit similar to the MAC 227 brush. The other end contains a soft pointed brush. I use the all over eyeshadow brush to apply my highlighter on my browbone, or sometimes when I want a quick all over eyeshadow application on my lids, this does the job wonderfully. And I use the pointed angle side to do outer V on the outer corner of my eye lids. Overall, this brush is great and very versatile.

5. Must have eye Blending Brush: Sephora blending eye #29

I love going to Sephora for all of my beauty needs. I also love their blending eye brush. This brush is so soft and I can wash it multiple times without any shedding and the brush still stays in shape. I got this brush for about $14.00 at Sephora and I really love it. This brush blends my eyeshadows easily and beautifully, and it picks up color really well. No complaints from this corner!

Product Review: Benefit Bad Gal Lash

Hey loves, ok-here is my review (as promised) on Benefit's Bad Gal Lash Mascara.
I have been using this mascara for about a month now and I can honestly say that it's not for me. My HG mascara (for now) is Cover Girl's Lashblast because it does it all for me. It lenghtnes, volumizes and keeps me clump free! Bad Gal lash clumps on me, even if I am only applying one coat! and It takes awhile for this mascara to dry once on my lashes which I dont like because if I blink while the mascara is still wet, I get some mascara on my eyelids...not cool yo! The one thing that really ticked me off about this benefit mascara was the immense amount of fall-out i always got under my eyes. I have really horrible bad under eye circles and the fall-out from bad gal lash just worsens them. I really like the brush its pretty big and full, although I like the size of the brush, it does not help with the clumping process because my lashes still clump.
I don't want to discourage anybody from trying out this mascara because I believe everybody is different and everybody has different experiences. If any of you have tried and tested this mascara and loved it in the end, thats great! But sadly for me, it wasnt my cup of tea. I will not be using this again in the future and I will most definetley stick with my Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara.

Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara is available at Sephora stores or the sephora website(www.sephora.com) for $19.00.
